This wasn’t one of my heaviest bench days, but definitely a day I’m extremely proud of.
I’m a terrible bench presser, but my form and confidence in every rep made these couple sets the cleanest and smoothest I’ve ever had.
Gains don’t always have to come in PR’s and new 1rm’s.

First time in months doing clean and jerks. Was never really good at them when I was weaker nor after I've gotten stronger. Wrists bend like redwoods, no bend at the knees when catching, and split goes forward...oh well. We all start somewhere!

#mondaymotivation post 1/2: the past few weeks have been dedicated to preparing for the vintage strength contest this past weekend, so now that it’s passed and I’ve got a few months until the next one, this cycle will be dedicated to a couple calisthenic goals that I have. While I was happy to see that I haven’t lost the strength required to perform single arm pushups, my form needs lots of cleaning to be less “Rocky” like. Today I learned that narrowing my straddle a bit helps to reduce the twist. Haven’t been to the gym since Friday and I’m okay with it 🤷🏽‍♀️ Spent Saturday in the city at Santacon with my peeps and spent Sunday at home getting the house all Christmassy with my mom. Memories > the gym but don’t worry I still have my goals in mind.

Keeping my progress slow and steady so I stay motivated and on track. Drastic changes don’t personally work for me so I’m working on my own pace and trying my best to keep cardio interesting because I never want to do it lol
