I found it fitting to wear this the day #Trump got inaugurated. If you havent seen, on the back it says #49 representing #Orlando. My motive for making this costume for Miss Mining Company last June (since the theme was overcoming personal struggle), i wanted to embody what it looks like if we let certain obstacles prevent us from being who we really are. Its gonna be a rough 4 (hopefully at max) years. But we will #overcome it.

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States on Friday, outlining his forceful vision of a new national populism and echoing the same "America first" mantra that swept him to victory last November. In his first address as the nation's chief executive, #Trump pledged that his #inauguration will mark a moment in history when "the forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer."
"Today's ceremony has very special meaning because today we are not merely transferring power from one president to another or from party to another," @realdonaldtrump said in his speech, surrounded by the very members of Congress and current and former political leaders he was admonishing. "We are transferring power from Washington D.C. and giving it back to you, the people."
"For too long, a small group in our nation's capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost," Trump said. "That all changes - starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment, it belongs to you."
