Argh! Went on to film a Morning Routine when during the break I checked my footage only to find out that my phone is no longer records properly. It put a whirring noise under the video making it so annoying to listen to. Took me a while to find out what it was. I thought it was the charger or the extension lead then I accused the ringlight who doesn't want to talk to me anymore but no! It was the phone all along! Looking into my eyes and not saying a single word. Ah! Shame on eletronics! I was cracking so many jokes though! anyway at least I can get my skin to a nicer shape while I buy a proper camera I cannot afford.
So I sat down with my cleansers and we have agreed that I should cleanse as soon as I come home.
I work 2x13.5hrs and 2x7 in a week. On days when I finish late I obviously do my routine as soon as possible because I get home around 9pm.
These are the days when I 'lose' the car keys (consistency-is-key keys I know I stop) and fail in the mornings to do skin.
When I finish early I still wait to my usual time.
I have noticed that I get quite oily as the day go but generally it just doesn't feel right not to wash my face after work anyway.
So this is going to be my double-cleanse routine on days off and short days when I'm not wearing makeup of course.
I'm just thinking what should I do after the first cleanse till bedtime.
Should I just do the whole routine or whack some moisturizer into my face for the time being?
1. Tube Station
In this section I just threw all the tubes in that they are in use. The dark glass spray bottle in as the DHC CoQ10 lotion in it. Although it doesn't spritz as a mist bottle would do so I need to wait for the Sukin mist to run out because I like the type of atomizer it has. 3 tubes of VitC as you do but only use one one HA from Indeedlabs and a Bioderma hydrabio which is so light it's perfect in the mornings instead of Ordinary HA. It's a close to transparent but milky-gel alike formula.
2.I use this aloe Vera gel for my natural hair makeup brushes after cleaning.
3.empties and dislikes these are mostly from the beginning when I used a toner it had alcohol in 4 out of 5 ingredients.... I had more but threw them away not thinking further ahead that I could show you one day.. Silly sausage
4. So Fushi oils come in usually 100ml size bottles which makes it an incredible value for your money. For example the Ordinary sells their Rosehip for £9 /30ml, fushi sells it at £18/100ml. It's cold pressed, it's virgin and ethical! So I have tons of oils and other stuff from there. In last post on the oils department all those tiny black dropperheads were mixtures of oils I made or just poured them into smaller bottles so I don't mess with the big ones.
And a body butter I use it on my feet.
That's it....(khm.. For face)
1. Repurchases ~ Indeedlabs HA although I'm sticking to Ordinary for now. ~Pixi glow tonic I like it how my skin feels afterwards like a polished and 'just changed my nappy' feeling.
~Caudalie cleansing oil
Lot of different Sukin products can't say anything as I only started using the hydrating mist and not planning to open anything else for a while. ~DHC cleansing oil I have heard good things some Not songiod ones. When I bought their CoQ10 lotions I needed an extra ££ for free delivery so... ~Avene rich moist.cream I tried a sample before and fell in love. It's similar to the yestocarrots but doesn't leave a shine at the end which is great when I apply oil before.
3. Moisturizers and Jars
I will run out of space but the MOA is a multipurpose goddess and I use the nip and fab pads for white head poppings. Ms Hirons showed in her vlog that if you don't want scarring but love to pop spots, just buff a glycolic pad in your skin as soon as the white head is out and don't squeeze it anymore when the blood is coming out. It works!
4. Ordinary Crush I'm not even sorry...
5. Serums and oils
Mostly from Fushiwellbeing they are amazing with their cold-pressed. But I have the """"detox"""c15, Pixi and Jurlique too. Glycolic serum and dragonblood shot from nipandfab. Not a fan of those
6. Bottles like mists and acids, cleanser
7. Some medicine stuff
So after seeing @skinminimalist picture of her skincare cabinet challenge I decided to share mine. I Also have two boxes of NIOD under the vanity but I didn't want to take out of the box as I'm not using it just yet. Plus they are so pretty in there anyway. My rule would be 'it must fit in the drawer" it used to fit in one of those small drawers as seen on top but then I started to read @carolinehirons and @sf_stef
Anyway it's under control now! I hope!
Show me your skincare storage!
#Repost@deciem with @repostapp
The world wide web has just become more monkeyed out with the all-new deciem.com where you can now learn and shop across all of our brands under one website. (Don't worry... our individual brand websites will continue to be what they are so we can just be even more confusing.) And if dealing with monkeys isn't your thing, you can also now view your order history and track your orders directly online. Coming soon: regimen suggestion tools across brands, personalization, subscription boxes and other monkey things. ~~~~~ Ok I am pretty sure it wasn't me the only one who suggested they should put a "regimen suggestion tool across brands" but I've just commmented a few weeks ago and they were so happy for it they said they will pass it to the person who would make it happen and here it is!!! (i know I know they probably said that to everyone but still!!) Also Subs Boxes?????? love it!!!!!!
I am having a Caudalie night tonight it seems. Not payed for it I wish haha. But I have to admit the packaging looks so pretty. I want to save Caroline's double cleanser although this wasn't cheap either I mean the cleansing oil.
I did some makeup looks tonight so I need my all time fav! I'm carrying on with the perfecting Gel not much has left but I have the liquid in a sample size. I can swap that over when it's time to. A little bit of niacinamide. Then the grape juice with HA, I heard they are a couple go hand in hand.
Finally a light moisturizer. I found the Trilogy was just sitting on my face in the morning, although I applied that after an oil so needs more experimenting
Oh yes... The . I have one of these fluffy animals for two seasons. A squirrel for Xmas and the sheep for spring. I really want the squirrel to be for fall. What can I buy for winter and summer? Hmm... Huge concerns
New Day New Start! I hear it from everywhere that trial and error. Well I did huge on the error.
Jumped into skincare like I thought I knew what I was doing...
I use too much acid. One in the morning and in the evening. Also my AM routine was completely different than the PM one. So back to basics I will use less products and understand how they work with my skin. Slowly I will add the @Sukin hydrating mist and the @dhc lotion to see what real differences they make. I don't want to get lost in millions of products and not even knowing whether they are doing anything good at all.
Lesson learnt thank you! I feel like a baby after nappy changing! Clean and confident, ready for action! Trial and error.
What was your biggest error?
Ha! I'm a little bit more clever now! Thanks to the fab @skinminimalist I am one step closer to enjoy and not stressing skincare. I have been sticking to the same PM routine for about 2 weeks now. Not sure about results yet although as I was enlighten I should've done the same routine in the morning and not a different one. Well.. I am all so clever now (not) and had a laugh (a cry) at myself.
Let's hope it all work out! I have so much to learn and understand.
I also would like to invite everyone who feels like to join into any conversation about skincare. Well.. Anything you like!
I love hearing from other people because there are so many different opinions and experiences and what I really love about Instagram is that it's really all over the world! mindblowing!
First question/topic: What is/was the most confusing part of your skincare history(journey) and why?
AM routine. Again simplified. This has been my routine for the last couple week and a half. Literally everyday.
I like how the Indeed c24 feels on my skin it leaves it sooooo smooth instantly. Bioderma Hydrabio is lovely milky gel and I love the rosehip oil (i transferred it to a smaller bottle the rest is in the fridge) but I need something that sinks in quicker. Marula maybe?
So do you guys think I should keep the Pixi in the morning? It's quite gentle but still do exfoliating in the evening as well? I want to try the 2%BHA PC and niacinamide combo that @marcia.s.duarte recommended although as we found out yesterday I actually don't have blackheads but sebum plugs.. Would that be too much exfoliation?
Also I would like to say a huge thank each and one of you for the help and support yesterday! I felt like a new door opened in my heart! @limeandlilac@skincarefiend@skincareuncovered@email@example.com
Long story short... About a generous 2 weeks ago I started well. Stopped my skincare as I caught myself not understanding much at all. I became very interested in skincare since last June and I was studying (self-teaching) a lot. Listened and read as much as I could (my all time favourites are @tophcam@carolinehirons@sf_stef ) but still I'm not even sure what type of skin I was given. Oily? Dry? Both? Which is impossible so my final verdict is dehydrated which causes excessive oil production... :/ I've been using soooooooo many products But don't exactly know what are they actually doing if they are doing anything at all. Some I can comfortably tell yes this one- I can see you working!(Caudalie c15, hyaluronic, yes to carrots moisturizer and a few more)
This is hard for me to share with you as I post skincare pictures and looks like I know what I'm doing (let's face it I think I know... I'm convinced) but I would like a better understanding that's all. Slowly I build my routine and test everything for a longer period (longer than a few days and jugdge). For now I would love to hear tips and advices from everyone. How you guys do it? How do you tell that something is really working? Do you all have microscopes to see the difference? I have some facial oils, moisturizers that they make my face smooth but when I wake up they still just sit on my face or just what to expect from certain products...things like that...
