Today’s reflection: slowing down is almost always the solution. Tonight Soren was working on clean string crossings again. His bow and fingers were getting out of sync and it wasn’t until he made it “silly slow” that it came together. I left him to finish repetitions on his own and unfortunately he sped it up and it fell apart. I would like to get to a place where he can set a very slow tempo and slowly speed it up himself. The metronome app I use has this capability but we haven’t tried it out; I’ll have him try it next week.

“But Christina! Where have it been?? You left us after you finished the 100 day challenge...”
Well...sickness and family troubles kept me away for a while. But I’m not one to stay down for long.
So I’m back for another 100 days!
Cause...did you know...there are over 300 days in the year!
I’m so excited for all the new music I’m learning!
Grad school auditions and my next concert are both coming up so quickly...
Let’s. Do. This.
