Within minutes after I arrived at my hostel I was shoved into a Tuk Tuk going back to the border with a bunch of people from my hostel to see the Waga border “show” – and what a show. It’s amazing and ridicules and the same time. Imagine a stadium-sized border where each side of the stadium isn’t rooting for their local football team, but for their countries military to give the best show of strength. The commentators and the crowd all trying to drown out the commentator on the opposite side. This is truly boys “playing war“. Still… Wouldn’t it be awesome every country in the world waged war against each other in a bird-like mating dance 🐔

I arrived in Amritsar on the 7th of October after probably the easiest border crossing on the trip so far. The Pakistani costumes office didn’t need me to bring my bags inside and the usual rummaging through my things were on the Indian side replaced with an old guy asking me:”
-
“Do you have any guuuns?” 🔫
-
“Ehh… No?” 😐
-
“Okay then – welcome to India” 🇮🇳
