During this exchange, the groom's family presents the bride's family with betrothal gifts (called 聘礼) to symbolize prosperity and good luck. The bride's family also returns (回禮) a set of gifts to the groom's side. It symbolizes that the bride’s family can still interfere the couple, whereas the bride take all of the gift it symbolizes that the bride is now completely belongs to the groom’s family 🎎
