Feeling very low on this #transformationtuesday my weight is really getting me down the past two or three weeks have been extremely hard for me. I still feel like I'm gaining weight and going no where. Feel very alone sometimes with this, I feel like I work so hard and then come crashing down off the high I got myself on and feel 100 times worse. When I was at my biggest I didn't actually care, now I'm looking at myself and seeing every single imperfection and I over analyse them several times daily. Yes I'm in smaller size clothing but I feel like people look at me and see a fat girl trying to fit into smaller sizes so I never feel like I look good in them. Mentally I'm drained, physically I'm suffering trying to push my body. Not enjoying things lately and I don't really want to leave the house because I don't want people to see me. Everywhere I go I think people are looking at me in disgust, I hate buying clothes because I think people will talk about me and say why is she trying to buy that size when she's big.... when I take pictures I think oh ok I don't look bad, but then I look in the mirror and I don't look like the picture I've just taken. I'm at a point where I'm either going to fall back into my old habits or try and push through and I have no idea which direction I'm going to go in. .

🐥Ever since the question “Did the chicken or the egg come first” was posed it seems that controversy and debate has always surrounded the egg. Just as a side note, it was the chicken that came first, just saying....

🐣One week they are bad for you and the next they are good for you or some sort of mixture in between. Jokes aside, (but really, it was the chicken that came first) this debate around eggs seems to have stemmed from the supposed issue around cholesterol.

🍳We are told that we should eat no more than 300mg of cholesterol per day (American Heart Association) With eggs containing about 185mg, it made sense that we were warned off eggs, right?
-
🥚The problem is, just because we eat more cholesterol, does not mean our cholesterol goes up. We have since learnt that our bodies have a negative feedback loop when it comes to cholesterol. Fancy way of saying, when we eat more, our bodies produce less.

🐔Aside from certain populations (diabetics and people with a family history of high cholesterol) it appears that consuming more eggs is NOT associated with heart disease or cholesterol problems.

🐤At the end of the day, eggs are an incredible protein source and contain a huge amount of nutrients (calcium, iron, zinc, folate, B12) and all of the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E)

🐵So, should you ditch the egg? If you are a diabetic or have a family history of high cholesterol, maybe.... Otherwise, enjoy your eggs in a calorie controlled diet that suits your goals and reap the benefits from this nutrient, protein and vitamin packed product.
