Q: “So, what does one do at a cabin all by ones self?”
A1: Lots and lots of brainstorming and journaling.
For me, designing, building and launching a website that is capable of giving anyone the opportunity to buy, sell or share their knowledge, experience, insight, ideas, time etc. with anyone else in the world 1-on-1 over the phone, requires tons and tons of drawings, journaling and future thinking.
Ever since my partner @crowe706 and I decided to pursue our start-up full-time, I have been going through journals like crazy. Or so I thought.
Out here, I wake up with my journal, go to bed with my journal and walk along the beach with my journal.
I always find that consistent journaling generally helps me show up better in all things life. It helps me:
Bust in and out of intellectual and creative flow.
Review and hone in on visions and big picture goals.
Reflect on things I’ve learned and experienced.
Design my ideal work, life & business.
Connect my ideas.
Get crystal-clear on what I need to remove and add to my life and business.
Remember key points from the content I’ve decided to consume.
Increase my gratitude.
...and on and on.
I was excited to see the impact my month long work getaway would have on my journaling.
Well, after 15 days of cottage life I can confidently say I have never had so many ideas crystallize in my journal as they have here. Amazing what some alone, nature and quiet time can do for ones brain.

Context: I packed up my bags, said good bye to my boyfriend and life in Vancouver and booked myself a cabin on the Sunshine Coast for the month of October. The goal was simple: To give myself permission, for an entire month, to focus almost entirely on my craft and business. I just reached the half way point.
I wanna challenge myself to take #APhotoADay of things I love + inspire me. The first pic is a glimpse of a basketball court where I love to clear my mind and refocus while I'm at my j.o.b. There's sand, some water and this pretty pink fence which I'm kind of obsessed with. Do you have a "recharge spot" while you're at work?
Where is everybody??!!!
I had the hotel gym to myself this morning!!
30 minutes of balance and body strength! Isometric holds!!
Excited for today! A bit of work, a bit of business planning and a bit of self care!!!
How did you do this week with fitness and nutrition? I got all my workouts in and I would say I was about an 8 out of 10 on nutrition!!
