Deadlifts are one of best exercises on the planet when performed correctly. But as you get stronger and start pulling heavier weight, you need to ensure you're pulling from a safe position.
_
❌If you're newer to deadlifting, be sure not to make the mistake shown on the left. The bar is way out in front of the legs and just about in line with the forehead. Definitely not ideal.
_
βœ… Instead, keep the bar closer to the body, in line with the shoulders is a good start and is a much safer position. Focus on keeping the lats engaged and work on remaining tight through the entire lift.

Good morning! Time to shine. Especially during cutting periods I sometimes feel like all energy floated away. Exercise (a walk with the dog; a ride with my bicycle; a ride with my horse; going to the gym...) helps me to energise again. If even that doesn't work (because of the low carb intake), I will make myself a mini moodboard to make my vision clear. It helps me to deal with the low energy that comes with cutting. Well... I just had a great oats breakfast, so gym won't be a problem anymore. #havealovelyday

Coconut Oil, Almond Butter and Flaxseeds are great sources of healthy fats and usually my staple for the entire year. Coconut oil is high in saturated fat which is typically considered an unhealthy fat but there's an exception to that rule. The fat is actually convert to MCT, medium chain triglycerides which are digested faster then other fats and have a thermogenic effect on your metabolism. This makes it a great choice to have pre-workout to help your body burn fat!

Almond Butter on the other hand is high in Omega-3’s which means an awesome anti-inflammatory. These help your body stay in an equilibrium because it isn’t at an inflammatory state. If you are not inflamed then you will have a metabolism which will more easily do what you want it to do, build muscle, burn fat, or both. Almond butter is great as a healthy morning fat if you aren’t heading straight to the gym or a few hours after your workout!

Flaxseeds are an awesome source of healthy anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids and heart healthy polyunsaturated fats. They provide some carbs but it’s all fiber. Between the healthy fats and fiber these seeds are not only going to fill you up but will help keep you regular. *Major key for contest dieting. The healthy fats and fiber also help lower cholesterol and lower the risk of diabetes, as well as blood sugar indicators for those with diabetes

TRUE & FUNNY STORY ...
I was skipping this morning and at around 1,100 jumps my weighted Jumprope just somehow fell from me, hit the floor and broke πŸ™ˆ... so I said to myself "thank God I have another one" and brought it out (not weighted) and at about 1,750 jumps, it cut πŸ˜•... so I quickly fix it-but it became short... that didn't stop me o... now as I was about to conclude my intended 2k jumps, my headphone broke in two (no jokes) - I rolled my eyes and went to get my second headphone... I not only finished the jump ropes... I went on to have my 30mins hiit workout and 20mins of weighted upper and lower body workout - Yeeesss πŸ’ͺ🏽 😁... MORAL OF THE STORY - NO MATTER WHAT COMES YOUR WAY, JUMP AND PASS - AND SUCCEED πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ˜‰πŸ˜
