In the final part of our series, meet Dr. Jillian Wong! The OD of OPT, Dr. Wong has dreamed of opening her own clinic for many years. She prides herself on providing the best possible care to her patients and has made it her mission to educate the public about their eye health. Dr. Wong is a strong believer in preventative healthcare and hopes to emphasize the importance of regular eye examinations to prevent permanent vision loss.
Dr. Wong is an amateur photographer and would like to use photography as a medium to teach people about the optical similarities of the eye and cameras. Furthermore, Dr. Wong believes that photography can be used to emphasize the importance of vision to quality of life. While everyone can appreciate nice photos, many people take their vision, and their ability to see those photos, for granted. It’s important to realize that your eyes and your vision are far more precious than a camera that can be replaced! You can see her photos on our Instagram as well as in our gallery in our clinic! Dr. Wong also writes these informative blurbs, which means yes, I’m currently talking about myself in the third person. Isn’t it amazing how frame choice can completely change how you look? Come see us to find out what frames work for your face shape and which frames definitely do not
@onetwosix_design stopped by the office today to stage a photoshoot for their custom-designed Loop Phone Booth. These local #yeg industrial designers have sold the Loop to companies in NYC and SanFran, to businesses like Amazon, Shopify and Pokémon. Our office was a perfect location for today’s shoot, as we’re an open space with limited options for private calls and conferencing. The Loop is nearly soundproof, ventilated, and includes many gadgets inside, like a mini built-in whiteboard! They’re leaving it with us for a while, so we’ll report back after a test run!
