Have you had moments where you did something you never thought you could? A week ago as the yoga instructor said "Go on to full bind if that is there in your practice" my body automatically did it. I have never attempted it before nor did I think I could do it. I guess sometimes the body knows better and surprises us. I thought maybe it was sheer luck but apparently it is here to stay (at least on my right side), my left is still working on it !
Yoga is my go-to coping mechanism when I feel down that seems to have worked extremely well. It definitely is something to try if you are looking for an activity to engage your mind and body :)

O que te fez começar a praticar Yoga?⠀
O que me fez começar definitivamente não foi o Samadhi. Sério. Também não comecei por eu estar estressada, ou por problemas de saúde, mesmo assim a prática melhorou toda má condição que eu tinha, todas elas que um dia vou chegar a compartilhar aqui também. Não comecei por estar precisando me exercitar. Eu estava nadando, correndo e indo para a academia todos os dias. Eu tinha o trabalho que sonhava, estava conhecendo o mundo, sempre viajava, tinha uma ótima vida social, "festas e drinks", amigos maravilhosos que ainda tenho, amém. Eu ainda não tinha conhecido o amor da minha vida, mas ele também chegou quase que junto da jornada no Yoga. Eu era apenas uma pessoa perdida, possivelmente procurando por um hobby, eu acho. O que me faltava?⠀

E após meses de prática, a cada passo no tapete uma nova descoberta e aos poucos eu fui me entregando mais para o universo e precisando menos de coisas. Quem era eu realmente? O que eu estava fazendo? Eu não sabia meditar, eu não sabia nem a metade de filosofia, eu não entendia mais um outro terço das coisas, mas na boa eu decidi me comprometer com a jornada. Hoje eu olho pra trás e vejo o quanto eu precisava dessa consciência plena mais do que qualquer outra coisa que o mundo material poderia me oferecer. ⠀

E sim hoje eu busco o Samadhi, não importa o tempo que leve, trabalho de formiguinha, de yama em yama, e a cada mudança eu me sinto mais inteira, me sinto no eixo. Após a Índia, eu finalmente resolvi abandonar a alimentação de animais mortos, que sofreram e carregaram a energia da dor para alimentar uma sociedade. Um yogi não é a favor da violência em nenhum sentido, e eu nunca estive tão feliz! ⠀

Se o Yoga virou comercial ou não, eu sinceramente me importo pouco, e o motivo que você começou também, é bom porque te fez começar e pronto! Mas eu paro e penso, quão maravilhosa é uma prática dessas que combinando todos os preceitos, vem a fazer do mundo um lugar melhor pra mim, para você e para TODOS. ⠀

Thinking on exercise has definitely evolved during pregnancy from many years ago yet
too many a times I have read or personally experienced misinformation about the need for women to sit back and kick their feet up while pregnant. Unless of course, you have been told by your doctor to get total bedrest from high risk pregnancy.Still,you do not need to be sedentary.

I always wondered and admired our mothers and grandmothers for managing their families while being pregnant AND having 3-4 kids running around already!most of them with no help;still cooking,cleaning and washing,going about their daily chores as usual. They were/are tough-spirited women!
We are so much more priviliged than them to get the help we do nowadays!

Exercise during pregnancy has many benefits including improved circulation,mood swings etc
Also many studies have found that it helps with childbirth process itself!

Once you are given the green light by your doctor,you can continue your pre pregnancy workouts (as did I)for as long as you are comfortable. Just do not overdo it.
