**Why consistency is important for fat loss and weight loss!!**
I have a lot of people come to me and say that they can’t loose body fat. I even have clients that come to me after a couple weeks and say they haven’t lost weight or they’ve even gone up after following my nutrition guidelines. This is completely normal. You are not some medical marvel that has somehow defied the laws of thermodynamics, sorry you’re not that special . -
True you may not be loosing weight but you will be loosing fat! As long as you’re in a caloric deficit, ie you’re putting less energy in your body than you are using, you will loose body fat guaranteed! The energy is taken by breaking down triglycerides in your fat cells. This produces energy as well as metabolic water.
This metabolic water is what stops you from seeing any changes in weight on the scale. Here’s the real kicker, water is denser than body fat meaning it occupies the same space as the fat but weighs more!! This is why you can see an increase in bodyweight. -
Fat cells are stubborn they like to stay at full size as it is easier to store body fat if they’re already big. Provided you are consistently in a calorie deficit you’re body will flush this water out of the fat cells leading them to shrink and you finally seeing a change in weight! Take home message: be consistent, don’t give up, you can do this ! -
