The ritual of self-care includes taking of all parts of you - body, mind, and spirit. That’s why we love intentional products like this one, the Sirius Facial Oil:
This product is not only is deeply penetrating and brightening, but is also formulated to control breakouts, and is calming and soothing, and suitable for sensitive dry, combination and mature skin types. The formula is loaded with anti oxidants, helping you keep your skin feeling youthful and refreshed.
Our favourite part? The properties of this facial oil have a grounding energy which is imparted on the skin as you use.
Made with love here in YYC + on the J9 shelves.
Do something that scares you. Get out of your comfort zone. Look into someone’s eyes when you greet them. Ask questions that require a longer answer than, “Good, you?”. Be curious. Those who dare, win; at meaningful connection, deeper intimacy, greater empathy and fulfillment.

Last Sunday, many other volunteers and I were able to recycle stems into smiles by creating over 250 bouquets for individuals at Agapé Hospice and Rockyview General Hospital - An ongoing project initiated by the coolest gals at @yycpetalproject. YYC Petal Project repurposes florals from weddings, celebrations, and corporate events and delivers the arrangements to shelters, hospitals, and care facilities around Calgary.
Helping make a positive impact on individuals within the community is the best part, but I also encourage others to volunteer as you can learn a new skill of arranging florals, which is such a fun, creative, and uplifting outlet.
You can also help out with vase/floral donations! Give @yycpetalproject a follow to learn more.
Explore the process of indigo dyeing with fibre artist and surface designer @caroline_forde. Join us in the studio for an evening and be introduced to surface pattern design and the complexities of indigo dyeing through Shibori, a Japanese resist dyeing technique. Enjoy exploring various patterning by stitching, clamping and tying. Gain the confidence to further your exploration in natural dying and take home your own one-of-a-kind cotton scarf.
Too impatient to knit a scarf the traditional way? Join us Feb.7th at @Trolley5 to knit an infinity scarf in under 2 hours - did we mention you'll be using your arms instead of needles? Tickets: link in bio

One of the things I like most in my job is to give workshops. I worked in tv and media for about 10 years and was always behind the scenes. There was a time when I never thought I could stand up in a room full of people and give a talk with out getting a rash or shaking uncontrollably but now this is one of my favourite things to do. I still get nervous and I sometimes breakout in a rash but I love educating people about how nutrition can improve their health. #yychealth#yycworkshops#holisticnutrition#whattheyresaying#nervesaregood#educate
