Some of my current faves
I can't tell a lie, these rose petals will be making many appearances in my flat lays are they look so aesthetically pleasing
Some of my old favourites, MAC Gingerly, NARS Concealer and the Tartlette in bloom palette.
A rediscovery in the KIKO bronzing crayon and a new find in the Jouer matte liquid lip ~ which I like but don't love.
The formula is slightly too dry for me personally.
Daily AM skincare products
I feel like I haven't posted in forever, I just totally fell out of sync and stopped taking photos. I blame the poor weather, nothing worse than grey photos
However, back to the post
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green tea - I picked this up on a whim in the Beauty Bay black Friday sale. Even though I tried to stay strong, I faltered! This smells wonderful but I see no difference to my skin, however it does feel refreshing. Scent alone is not enough for me to repurchase so once I finish it, I don't think I will get another
Body Shop Skin Defence - this is an SPF 50 suncream that I now wear daily, I have been trying to take better care of my skin and this is something I have implemented daily into my routine, this is slightly pricey so I am considering trying the Biore suncream next. I have learned so much following @skinminimalist
Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum - everyone and their mum have raved about this, which is enough for me to purchase it. I love it, it's hydrating and moisturising and cheap as chips. I will repurchase by the bucket load. They have also released a night serum, have you tried it ? Do I need it?
Clinique Moisture surge - this is the extended thirst relief version. I do like this, it has a light weight gel texture and makes my skin feel nourished. But for the price tag I can't justify it. I won't repurchase now I've found the Superdrug serum !
One of my favourite winter lipsticks
There's something about berry lips and colder months, this is one of my favourite shades.
It's by Rimmel and it's shade 107, it's from the Kate Moss range. It is a matte dark wine shade, I find it's great in one swipe and comfortable!
Trying out some new products from Know Cosmetics sent by @sparklepruk (thank you!) Will let you know how they fare !
Yes I've been MIA I just got a bit too content with not posting but hopefully I'll be posting more soon ! Cept there's zero light these days and all my photos are so dark
I'm lying, it's not weekend, it's from a week or two ago, I just forgot about it. I also took about 20 selfies, and this was the only half decent, non-blurry one don't ask me about this awkward half-ass smile... I don't know what I was thinking
I can't remember all the makeup so excuse all the gaps
Soap and glory primer, MAC Pro long wear concealer, Soap and Glory kick ass powder, MAC Gingerly, Becca Champagne Pop
Freedom eyebrow pomade, Benefit brow gel, Tartelette in Bloom palette, maybelline master precise liner, Maybelline Plush mascara
NYX soft matte lip cream in Cannes
Palette of the day - Urban Decay Shadow Box
I love the quality of US shadows, they're fairly unrivalled in my opinion, apart from my Tartlette palette. I love the range of shades, but I wish there was more mattes !
Favourite base products
Nip and Fab foundation - in a thin dropper formula, gives a beautiful sheer finish if needed and can be blended out easily
Soap and Glory Primer - I'm really enjoying this, but I have to say, I prefer the silicone pore filling abilities of my Smashbox primer instead
Mac tinted moisturiser - still trying to finish this !
Loreal Highlight in Golden Glow - I mix this in with my foundation or tinted moisturiser for that golden shimmery look, so glowy and bronzey, really love this stuff !
Favourite eye brushes
I use this brushes everyday, and I have done for so long
They are by @elfcosmetics and I bought them online when they used to be so cheap ! I know the price has gone up quite a lot since I purchased this, which is a shame.
However, so far these have lasted well and I wash them very regularly with no shedding.
I would like to buy some new eye brushes so if you have any you recommend then let me know down below #elfcosmetics
KIKO Contour Sticks
I feel a little silly doing a review of these as I bought these when they were part of a collection, so I'm quite sure you can't get hold of them anymore, so my apologies !
They are creamy chubby sticks which I use to contour with mainly, the brown is a warm toned deep brown that blends really nicely.
The highlight shade for me is slight too pale and I prefer a more golden bronze highlight.
See the second pic for swatches !
I don't usually cream contour as I find it doesnt look natural enough on me, but these do a great job
Face of the Day
I can hear the rain, and I'm off out for the day with my girls so umbrellas at the ready ! And fix spray
Milani baked blush in Rose D Or
YSL Lipstick in 9
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold
NARS Creamy Concealer - I know I only ever photograph this is because my maybelline and mac concealers aren't as pretty to snap!
Loreal highlight in Golden Glow
KIKO Conceal and highlight crayons - review and swatches up next!
It's cold, I've defrosted the car, my hands are frozen and I got stuck on the M6, it's definitely winter !
Tom Ford Nude Dip Quad
NARS Creamy Concealer
Mac tinted moisturiser
Loreal True Match highlight in Golden Glow - I use this mixed in with my base, love the golden glow it gives you, you can add as much or as little as you want so its perfect !
KIKO Full coverage concealer in 06
Happy Friday !
This lighting is so rubbish
I can't remember half the details for this picture as I was half asleep taking it, but let me know if you want specifics
As a side note, how amazing are Zara fragrances! So impressed with this one as it smells so good
Daily brow tools
Soap and Glory Archery - it's a double ended pencil, with a felt tip and a crayon, I use the crayon end every morning just to fill in any brow gaps, I don't love it but it works for now, but I won't repurchase as I find it much to under pigmented personally
Benefit Ready Set Brow - amazing stuff, I use it every single day as it's so good. Definitely will be repurchasing as I truly think it's the best Brow gel I've used !
Some makeup of the day
This lighting is appalling, I've had to edit this picture so much it's shocking, just to make it look normal
Primark Primer Water - absolutely love this stuff, keeps my makeup looking fresh all day
MAC Blush in Fever - great for colder months for a flush of colour, but it's so pigmented so it's a pain to blend out
Urban Decay Vice palette - I love the metallic shades in this but it lacks a crease colour so it's hard to use on its own, but I love UD shadows, they're some of my favourite
NARS Creamy Concealer in Gingerly
MAC Tinted Moisturiser
KIKO Water Eyeshadow in 208
