Many ways to get stronger legs, the quads are the primary movers in squat, they extend the knee, the hamstrings extend the hips. Will start posting more videos of my favorite accessory movements @patentlyequestrian mother of 3, 5 months postpartum. Interested in 1on 1 coaching? #squat#quads#weightlifting#postpartum

First off, huge shout out to @lidiux12@mary_medrano2017@sunshineellisonpham who took time out of their Saturday EARLY morning to drive to SA and watch Brian and I lift. You can't ask for a better support crowd than that, thank you so much for coming.
Of all the competitions I've done - weightlifting, tennis, Crossfit, etc... this was the most fun I'd ever had at a meet. Great atmosphere, ran smoothly, and professional staff.
Have I lifted heavier in training? Yes. Just wanted to get the feel of judging and meet flow for my first meet, and I'm really glad I got 9 white lights on squats (really worried on depth).
With 9 lifts at high intensity (and 3 hours of sleep), powerlifting meets can be a bit taxing. But I was so amped by the environment I didn't care, lol. (My body is a little wrecked this morning). *****
Last but not least, @brian.arnwine@xtaylorb@blacksidebarbell , couldn't ask for a better group to compete along side with at a comp. We're training 24/7 in the corner at the gym, we're in the trenches lifting night and day, we're putting in the work the best we can... it was just really nice to have each other's backs at this meet .
Everyone should compete some day. Put aside the role of worker, father, mother, husband, wife, employee, etc for one day and make the platform your stage ️♀️
