After four long days of enduring winds in excess of 60 knots and seas as high as 30 feet, as we crossed Antarctica’s infamous Drake Passage, we were finally able to go out on deck to capture the trailing edge of the dying storm.
The expedition vessel, Hans Hansson, piloted masterfully by Captain Dion Poncet, carried our team on the story-telling mission of a lifetime. For the first time in my career, I led a dream cast of talented individuals to tell one of the most important stories of our time. Paul Nicklen
