This weekend we have welcomed four new members to our family, they have come into our care from pounds and private surrenders.
Say hello to Bella (6yo), Mya (9yo), Chico (6yo) and Taj (17mth). We couldn’t have done this without our amazing foster carers who have opened their hearts and homes up to these furkids in need. Massive thank you to each of you xxx
We are super happy that we were able to find them foster homes leading up to Chrismas, and it is especially awesome that it all happened in one day
Phewwww !!. A huge thank you to everyone that helped to make this happen today !!! If you are interested in adopting a husky, keep and eye on our page and we will let you know when these gorgeous kids are ready for adoption
Another happy forever after successful foster fail !! We are happy to share an update on two more furr babies that have found their new home. Some of you might remember our desperate call for urgent foster carers for two seniors - Alaska and Jet. They came to us as a private surrender but separating them was not ideal and it took a bit of time to find them a home.
So it was one of our team, Janie who perfectly matched humans with fluffbutts and
on November 11th these two beautiful souls got their second chance in a perfect home with Nicole and her kidlets.
Alaska and Jet settled so well like they were meant to be there and the family decided they are not going anywhere ... ever !! Thank you Nicole for opening your home and heart to Alaska and Jet and Janie for amazing work ( as usual ) XX we just love happy endings like this !!!
Mya is a 9 year old girl that has been surrendered to the pound by her owners after using her to make money for years. She has delivered 5 litters of pups but now is no longer wanted. She has been in the shelter for few months now and her time is running out. We need to get her out ASAP! Help us help her and complete an application on our website to become her foster parent www.homesforhuskies.org.au/foster
We are excited to share a beautiful story of love at first site.
Asha was an unwanted boy left in a country pound. At 7 months he has already learned whats it like to be left behind and not wanted. His journey into a new life began with a long drive down to Melbourne on transport where one of our volunteers picked him up and gave him a place to stay for a few weeks whilst we got to know him and had all his vet work completed.
It was at annual Christmas get together where all of our foster and adoption families get together where Susi and Roy - long term rescue member (with two other huskies already adopted from us and a couple of foster doggies through their doors ) met Asha and offered to become his foster carers with a view to Adopt if everything went well with their current dogs. Asha formed instant bonds with all their pack but is totally in love with Poppy as you can see by the video. Ahhhh get a room ♀️
It only took two days until they realised, they will never be able to let him go and decided to make him a permanent resident of their family.
It melts our hearts how the rest of the pack welcomed Asha into his new loving home.
We know he now be the most spoiled and loved boy. It is another FosterFail happy story. Enjoy your perfect home, handsome boy!
*** Have you considered fostering a husky ***
Foster homes are our greatest asset and the resource we need the most. We never have a shortage of dogs needing rescue, and for some, we are the only chance they have.
Fostering a husky is a rewarding experience and is wonderful way to contribute by providing love and care to a husky in need while they await their forever homes.
Complete an application today, and help us help these beautiful dogs in need https://homesforhuskies.org.au/forms/foster/
A huge thank you to everyone that came and saw us at Dog-a-Thon this morning. We hope you enjoyed the kisses from our rescue babies - Tia, Kody, Kai and Panda. And thank you to our volunteers for giving up their Sunday to help the rescue and raise awareness about #siberianhuskies breed and benefits of adopting pets
Today we had our annual Christmas pool party. It is a special day when we bring together as many of our rescue pups as possible, and wonderful people who rescued them. We had a fantastic turn out, and it was so great to see so many happy doggies! Thanks everyone for coming
