I've been shooting more and more portraits lately, but for some reason I haven't been posting them. I'm trying to change that, so here's a shot of @jasoncmacdonald when he came to visit me in Ventura shortly after his knee surgery... #yashicat4#kodakcn400bw
Don't think I forgot about you guys again! Aug. 10th means #zerodaygiveaway!!! Some of you figured it out from my story, but I'm giving away this Polaroid Big Shot, because who doesn't like Billy Joel, amirite?
@derekstreet and I want to travel more to make YouTube videos. Leave in the comments where you think we should travel, and what camera or cameras we should shoot there for the video... Winner will be picked at random from the comments 10 minutes after this post goes live... If you missed this one, be sure to turn on post notifications for my acct so you get notified when these things go live :) Winner Update: @d40winker
New Video! @derekstreet and I did a side by side comparison of Fuji Instax Wide and Impossible Project Spectra Film. You can find it at AwesomeCameras.com or click the link in my profile! Enjoyyyyy! #instaxwide#impossibleproject
With the school year about to start, I figured I would give away a camera that might be useful to a student who might be taking a photography class this year. So here is a Pentax K1000 w/ 50mm f/2 lens!
This time the requirements are a little bit different. I want you to ask a question that you would want to see asked here on one of these zero day giveaways, and after you ask that question, go through and answer someone else's question... Winner will be picked at random from the comments section 10 minutes after this post going live... #zerodaygiveaway
Not sure why, but I've had a thing for shooting payphones lately... Here's one from Downtown LA. Do people still use them? Are they just leftover from another time? How much longer will they be around? Is there any subject matter you've been shooting consistently? #topcon#topconauto100#35mm#expiredfilm#dtla
Come on back! You're fine... Shot in downtown LA on a Topcon Auto 100. The Auto 100 released in 1964 was the first SLR to have a fully coupled TTL light meter. Which means the camera would automatically adjust the exposure based on the amount of light coming into the lens. Completely normal by today's standards, but in 1964 it was way ahead of it's time... #topconauto100#topcon
Here it is! Today's #zerodaygiveaway get a load of this piece of work... The Split Cam!
I was browsing YouTube today and came across @danbullman... All I could think of is 'Man! How am I JUST NOW finding this guy!?!?' He's got a bunch of great How-to's, Camera Reviews, and a bunch of great interviews... Then I started thinking, there's got to be a whole lot more people on YouTube I don't know about in the film photography world... Just answer this question in the next 10 Mins, winner will be picked at random from the comments... What are you top 3 favorite film photo related YouTube channels? (Don't bother saying Awesome Cameras, I already know about that one...) Winner Update: @threeeyedmonster
Another favorite from the last YouTube video! Which way is up!? Who the hell knows?!? Anyways, it's July 10th so that means it's time for a #zerodaygiveaway, and I've decided to give away one of these split cams we used for the video! Just a heads up that will be happening at about 7:30pm Pacific Standard Time. So stay tuned and if you haven't already, turn on post notifications for my account so you don't miss it...
