Let's start something new. Welcome to TubesdayTuesday! To be honest, "awareness" months kind of drive me insane. I'm sure many of you will be appalled that I said that, but seriously think about it. There are a lot of people out there that struggle with confidence because of their illness(es). Sometimes they only post during their respective months because they're afraid of how it will make others feel when they hear the complaints, symptoms, & see the medical "accessories". If we have to do this everyday, we should be able to share our lives without fear of reproach. My goal has always been to help. I want to not only inform, but empower others. So, let's do this. You don't have to share just tubes; share what you've got! It can be an actual device or just venting about how you feel. & tag me so I can see!! Every Tuesday. Every month. Spread awareness. Boost confidence. Help others. On Tuesdays, we wear tubes. #tubesdaytuesday
Nine years ago?! I thought this was nine minutes ago. ♀️ Omg. Cami. Do you remember when you googled all those weird ways to make me go into labor early!? We were seriously the greatest duo since Lucy & Ethel.
EXTRA EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!! I mailed out 22 pairs of socks today! This is the first sock mail out since May 19! Are you new to following me & curious as to what I'm talking about? Allow me to explain... I GIVE AWAY MY SOCKS! My socks are typically photographed & worn. Then they're washed & tossed aside only to never be worn again. I decided to kick my sock clutter & brighten some days, I'd GIVE AWAY my "probably only worn once" socks. Do you want some? All you need to do is DM me your name & a mailing address & you'll be added to the list. Remember, it may take some time to receive them. Please be patient. They will come! I ship EVERYWHERE. Today, I shipped two international packages: one to Mexico & the other to Australia! You owe nothing! I DO NOT TAKE REQUESTS. I have too many socks & not enough time to dig through them all. If you have received socks from me already, leave a comment with what socks I sent you! It's always a surprise to me as to who gets what. Now we are going LIVE! #spooniemail
First photo: 9 years ago.
Second photo: 9 seconds ago.
I was pregnant with Lando in the first picture. I was just a baby having a baby. Now I'm an adult that still looks like this baby pictured. I'm totally ok with that. #foreveryoung#tbt
I'm the doctor that brings cards. I'm a cardiologist. Today was my ivig infusion. I fell asleep as soon as she hooked me up. When I awoke, it was 3:30PM! I'm usually out between 1:30-2:30. My nurse, Linda, said, "Hunny, you looked so peaceful & you haven't been well. I thought I should let you sleep. One of the new nurses said she was going to wake you up & I told her not on my watch." There are still kindhearted people in the medical field. Oh, & Annemarie, you sent these, yes? Thank you. @weelijinx#socksofvongraves
"'Cause when you're done with this world,
You know the next is up to you.
And his wife told his kids he was crazy,
And his friends said he'd fail if he tried,
But with a will to work hard,
And a library card,
He took a homemade, fan-blade, one-man submarine ride." @johnmayer#swoon#thatvoice
The Girl with the Pearl Earring.
Pearl earrings are my favorite, so it would make sense for me to love this painting. However, there's another reason I am so drawn to it. My great aunt Barbara painted this once. She is the reason I bought these. She's always been there any time I was sick & needed a place closer to the hospital to stay. She opened her home in the summertime for myself & all others in our family to bring friends & swim in her pool. She'd always whip up something yummy in the kitchen for us to eat. Even if it were just a sandwich & some chips, it was always the best meal ever. Though the pool is long gone & her health seems to slowly go with it, she still opens her doors to all of her children, grandchildren, sister, nieces, etc. I know everyone in the family will agree when I say this, we are the most blessed family in the world have her. #JohannesVermeer
Oh, look. This is before my port revolted & tried to kill me. Damn thing. My good day is welcomingly followed by a mildly rough night. I thought the burger I feasted on would surely be the cause of death on my death certificate, but it appears the grim reaper has other plans. No complaints here! Maybe next time I shall venture out & go for a steak! Nah. I'll have PIZZZZAAA next! Time to take my meds & drift to sleep as I listen to my kid giggle while he watches silly YouTube videos.
I'm not 100% sure what's happening in this picture, but I am 127% sure we are completely enjoying our Saturday. I've felt rather well & even HUNGRY! I had a burger! & cheesy potatoes. It was DA BOMB! & that's where we'll leave it. Ice cream for the boy & back to Tori's we go. Happy Saturday, y'all!
