So I tried this out properly yesterday and I am so so happy with this! Read on for review/first impressions.
I'm so shocked how much I like this , the colour is perfect for me while I'm at my palest shade 1N. Applies nicely and builds but is NOT full coverage but that's fine I can colour correct first.
So I put this on at 8am for an interview , just minimal makeup , I then had a nap watched tv etc then got ready to go out and topped up my makeup but didn't add anymore foundation or concealer just powdered. I then went out, ate, drank, went bowling got home around 12 and my foundation was still holding up and looking presentable, I could of just added a little powder and carried on without worrying it looked a mess. So impressed, that's like 16hr wear, for £5.90 ?!? That's so much cheaper than high end and cheaper than drugstore makeup. I did mix in a tiny amount of liquid highlight with the foundation because I knew I was going out later and wanted it to look glowy and that didn't seem to affect the longevity I love the packaging it's light weight , has a pump , you get 30 ml of product like most. Considering buying a few shades and adding this to my makeup artist kit , what do people think ? A good one to start out with or no? #theordinary#theordinaryfoundation#coveragefoundation#bargainmakeup#highqualityfoundation#lowcostmakeup#mua#muakit#foundationfirstimpression#foundationreview#deciem#aspiringmua#makeupaccount#muafoundation
Something that I have tried and freakin loved is this brush cleaner by @stylprobrushcleaner I got samples with the brush cleaner and continued using a sanitiser and baby shampoo thinking it wouldn't be all that , but I decided to give it a try and I was gob smacked! It dried instantly ?! I don't know whats in this witchcraft but it's great! You dip your brush in swirl it round and all make up is gone and your brush is dry and ready to go in seconds. Need to get my hands on a bottle of this guy
After testing this out all week I'm still not 100% sure what I think so I'm going to have to give you some pros and cons. - doesn't sink into fine lines
- looks beautiful for the first few hours.
- layers so nicely to build up coverage - don't have to set it with powder, it sets down nicely on my skin.
- I'm in the shade Gobi which is perfect
- Doesn't last long enough on my skin.
-my oily nose is showing though after a couple hours - it cakes around my nose but all my foundations do that
- it's £33 and you don't get a pump.
Starting to wish I got the all day luminous weightless or the new one with a similar name now instead , damn it , but I still love it and will continue to try new things to get this to work cos when it looks good it's amazing
Any of you use this regularly, what do you do to get it looking it's best?
@lorealmakeup Glam Bronze Cushion de Soleil fresh glow bronzer. (What a long name) Swipe and read on
I picked this up to use as a bronzer on mature skin as I was practicing on my fabulous Nan and didn't want to over do the powders. It applied and blended out so easily I thought I'd give it a go on myself , and I'm in love with the finish of this , it looks so natural and seamless on the skin, an effect I've never achieved with a powder bronzer , I love this I got this reduced and wish I bought 2 now. This is pretty pricey , it's £14.99 at Superdrug but I have spotted it cheaper online at about £10
Treated myself to this @narsissist Sheer Glow foundation as I had a selfridges voucher and I'm in love This might be the foundation to convince me higher end foundations are key! The amount I spend trying drugstore/ affordable foundations I may as well go for higher priced ones that work! I've only tried this once today , but it went on and layered so so nicely. Love it so far ! Made me curious what the all day luminous weightless is like maybe that will be next on my endless list of stuff I want
This is the @w7makeupuk Glowcomotion highlight. I heard it's a dupe for the balm Mary Lou and I must say it's beautiful , my kind of sheen, wet look highlight, nothing too glittery or metallic , just glow
If you haven't got the budget for a pricey highlight this will do they job nicely
I got mine from @therangeuk of all places !
So , I'm not sure how I feel about some of these. Starting to think it was a bit of a risk getting a Christmas limited edition set. The quality doesn't seem as high as your usual RT set Some of the usual ones like the expert face brush and the setting brush are lovely. I think it's the duo fiber ones I'm not a fan of, I don't know , maybe they take some getting used to.
Anyone out there got this set? I got mine from Superdrug. Let me know what you think of it!
My latest obsession One of my most fabulous friends bought me Fireside for Christmas and I loved the instant fragrance of the Woodwick candle. So then the Boxing Day sales role around and I bought 2 more.
I got Pomegranate and Warm Wool. I fell in love with warm wool and bought a backup That's the two in the photo in the Christmas packaging. So glad I discovered these #woodwick#woodwickcandles#warmwool#fireside#crackle#candles#cosy
I also got this @morphebrushes Draw Attention Neutrals set of lip and eye pencils for my kit. The pencils have so much more product in than your regular pencil, really happy with that and you get a good selection of colours you're guaranteed to use . Looking forward to putting them to the test !
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas !
Thought I would show you a couple of bits I got over the last few days .
First up the travel size @urbandecaycosmetics all nighter I have to admit this is the only setting spray I've tried that actually keeps you makeup on longer. I love it
