I brag about traveling a lot but Mike on the right of me traveled to space and was even the first one to tweet from it. Me on the left might be able to travel to space in the near future due to the progress that @elonmusk is making even though so many thought he would fail. Excited for the future. We are in 2018. 1980s were so different. 2050 will be exciting.
I quit coffee. Yep. I was a coffee addict. I started to feel it. I tried quitting before, but people told me that "coffee is healthy" so I never did. But this whole healthy notion depends on how much you consume. And I was consuming too much. Don't get me wrong. I had no problem not drinking shit coffee. But I made amazing coffee.
I'm trying it for a month without researching to see how I will feel. Today is day 4. The goal is not to never drink it again. It's to detox from it to a point where I don't end up drinking 5 coffees in one day. I quit alcohol to a point where I drink once in every few months. I quit Facebook almost 3 years ago. I quit sugar in tea and coffee. I quit fizzy drinks. This challenge will be the toughest though. But we'll see how it goes.
Shoutout to @malenovska for inspiring me to start. Shoutout to @___pato for making me commit. Shoutout to @victorajayiart for making me re-discover the beautiful taste of Earl-gray tea
I see two people wanting to live each other’s lives. What do you see?
So much appreciation for @___pato, she kinda weird holding my hands in pictures after knowing me for like 3 days, must be my prince Charming skillz, anyway, so much appreciation for this girl, she has made me so much more productive. I still ain’t where I want to be but she got me doing more than ever without being as fearful as ever, and out of things that somebody can give you, I think that’s probably the most important one.
Also, fun fact. We see each other in a different country each time. If that’s not travel goals then idk what is.
Last year I finally got meet my Grandad after 10 years. When you are a child, you can't really know somebody properly. It was like I met him for the first time in my life. That's how it felt. It turned out we have a lot in common. Journalism for instance. He also is doing his thing teaching people the right manners. Different eras. Different ideas. Yet a very similar objective. Of informing people on how to do better. I thought that was kind of cool.
I want to help people travel better. On my blog michaelsmolski.com and my new YouTube page which there is a link to on my bio. Perhaps it will help you. And if not, you can watch me travel at least. The goal is to travel to every country on this planet. And starting with the US, I shall be documenting it.
People always ask me how I get to travel so much. See, most people travel like they are in the 1980s. I travel like we in 2018. That's the secret. Technology. I make expensive look cheap. And I'm also starting to share how to you can travel cheap on my YouTube. Link in bio to my new vid on how you can make flights cheaper. Although I am better at travel than at vids atm
I always followed my path. I quite frankly don't care if I'm wrong. I'm happy being wrong. I am wrong a lot. But at least I ain't wasting time debating over whether I'm right or wrong. Just do do do do do. Too many people are trying to write that perfect pitch. Screw that.
I was worried they would think I'm stealing it... Kind of regret they didn't now. Oh, and I made a review of this book. Regardless of what you do in life, you probably need it. Check the link to the vid or read the blog at michaelsmolski.com @garevee is one of the most important people to know about in life. Great cover by @babin.
Lisbon is that place where you can sit down without feeling tight on space. It’s a place where you open up a bottle of cold beer that you just bought for €1 euro on an old pavement with stairs that acts as a seat while you listen to a hustler playing his versions of songs relating to #Lisbon and playing several instruments, every night. This is Lisbon.
_ ‘I JUSTTTT WANNNAA SEEEEE MY LISBONNNN PEOPLE DANCINGGGGGG!!!!”
People make guides about places to visit, and they include things such as statues as a reason to do so. WHO THE HELL AM I to visit a place to see a statue for 3 minutes? _
So I made my own guide about 5 places that you should visit in Europe this year. It mentions the things that actually matter. And of course, Lisbon is the first and most important one to visit! Check it out on my blog at Michaelsmolski.com or go to my bio for the link.
This book isn’t out for several more days. It’s in the top 20 on Amazon. Not in its category but on the planet. Competing against books that have been out for months. If that does not show you that @Garyvee mastered his personal brand, then what will. I didn’t read a book in months. I couldn’t. Everything was so repetitive. Crushing it!, I read fully. This is that book that Gary backs up. He does a very clever thing. There’s always somebody that claims to be unique, that their problems are a lot worse. The stories mentioned in this book showcase an incredible variety of different problems people had. To eliminate the whole “but you had x” bs. I will review this book but quite honestly, don’t read it. Just buy it. Don’t even think about it. If you want to grow your brand, this is all of the social media & personal brand courses combined multiplied x 1000 value minus 99% of the cost. There are two reasons why you won’t get results from this. You are either impatient or aren’t doing what is mentioned which might completely differ depending on what you are doing, but more on that soon.
I get sent a lot of stuff. I mean, my freelance writing reaches over 1 million people overall. A nice indirect feature there and there. It’s something different. Companies enjoy that. That resulted in me having 8 different backpacks in my room. But frankly, I hate backpacks. They suck when it comes to style. But yet there was something about @lifepack_bags by @adrian_thecanadian that got me using it in 12 different countries. Check out my review of it on my new blog at Michaelsmolski.com. Link in the bio of course.
Or you can just check it out to see the embarrassing screenshot of @drock capturing my embarrassing full pockets in one of the vlogs of @Garyvee, oh, review of #Crushingit coming soon! I got the review unit! “You can hide your worst self from your social media, but you can’t hide it from DRock” - Michael Smolski
This is my Grandma. It’s her birthday today. This is also my best friend. I waited all my life to bring a friend to my Granny's house for some food. And I mean, look at my belly lol. It happened in 2017. One of the things I am the most proudest of in 2017 is that I got to meet up with a lot of my family first time in many years. For instance, I seen my Grandfather first time in 10 years.
In about three weeks, people of China will lose almost all power over what they can see on the internet. They will see only what the government wants them to see. Propaganda is coming to the internet in 2018 in China. Net neutrality was talked about everywhere. Celebrities talked about it widely. It was discussed in all major networks on the planet. But nobody is talking about the fact that people in China will soon not be able to see my post on Instagram about this. Most already can’t. The smart, they use services called virtual private networks. I write blog posts for one of the companies that provide these. A virtual private network allows you to be virtually anywhere in the world without being there. For a long time, it allowed people in China to bypass China’s censorship. But this is ending. China requested the three massive internet providers in China to block all VPN companies by February 1st, 2018. But why talk about it.
