I don't often play much 8 ball, I prefer 9 ball better. But my opponent won a coin toss so 8 ball it is lol. 8 ball is a much different game then 9 ball, so my approach and method is different. Since I'm up against a highly skilled 8 ball player, I'll be lucky if I get more than one chance. So I must focus extra hard.
Here in this vid, I'm solids. Luckily there are no big obstacles, no clusters to break. Pretty much open layout. My intention was to cleanly pocket each object ball with no disturbance to any balls on table - mine or my opponent's. After each shot I'm constantly looking over at the 1 ball sitting on right corner pocket which I have marked as my key ball. It's the ball I will play last to gain position for the 8 ball. Luckily for me I made it through... unscathed. Whew .
Sometimes we get lost in the hustle and bustle of the daily grind that we forget to stop and simply enjoy the moment. I am not complacent, but I am content. When your heart is in the right places you will find less reasons to seek and more reasons to enjoy.
