・・・ @gberlanti and I have been so emotionally affected by the reactions to @lovesimonmovie that we have decided to buy out two theaters. We’ve partnered with local LGBTQ organizations in Jackson, MS and Louisville, KY. Our hope is that young LGBTQ people in these cities that might not have the opportunity to see @lovesimonmovie now will have the chance. Thank you everyone for supporting such an important beautiful movie! #lovesimon#pflag
REGRAM | @bradyroberts_
Most of the gay characters that have ever made it into the big screen are over exaggerated stereotypes, ones in supporting roles or just the comic relief. Tonight I got to see the first major and authentic representation of what it’s like to be gay teenager going through such a confusing and emotional rollercoaster. I could see so much of myself in Simon Spier and to see him go through the same highs and lows of coming out was incredibly surreal. The confusion, the constant weight on your shoulders, the fear, the secrecy, the acceptance, the bullying. Love, Simon is a movie that shows it all and I hope everyone gets the chance to see it so it can not only help people to become more accepting but to help guide others struggling with their identity to find themselves. Thank you @therealnickrobinson@beckyalbertalli@lovesimonmovie for making me feel represented. Everyone deserves a great love story.
