Sitting in front of this tree at night, when the apartment is all calm and quiet, with maybe one too many chocolate covered cinnamon bears beside me to eat and a Christmas movie playing in front of me... it's been my favorite way to end the day lately. Which Christmas movies do you love?! #christmas#christmastree
Breakfast at Tiffany's today (ok- it was lunch. But you know...) Felt like such a special day because a few girlfriends were in town for 24 hours and we left the kiddos and husbands and work behind and hit the city and all the holiday festivities it has to offer hard. NYC is such a magical place right now (and it's snowing out my window as I'm typing this!) Also- I was able to hold all my food down today which is probably why I'm extra happy right now #morningsicknessallday#breakfastattiffanys#teatime#blueboxcafe
The Nutcracker last night with these dear friends. I've decided one of my favorite things ever is that gorgeous snow scene in the ballet when they full on dance in that crazy blizzard and I'm like "how!" ️ #girlsnight#nutcracker#nyclife
I stood, waltzed (awkwardly) and maybe slipped more than once INSIDE a giant snowglobe tonight at the @homewoodsuites holiday event in NYC! So much fun. I also got to share some photo-taking tips with everyone that came and would love to share one here with you to help you #bringit with your holiday photos! Since nothing beats a candid photo of little ones, and no one likes a stressed out photo taker all up in their face saying “say cheese!” (guilty of being that super fun person in the past!), something I’ve learned is to be patient, maybe step back or get down low and just let them do their thing! You’ll get such a better candid, natural and genuine reaction when they are comfortable in their element (be it gift opening, sitting on Santa’s lap... applies to so many photo-op situations outside of the holidays as well!) Thanks for having me, @homewoodsuites! Happy holidays, everyone! #sponsored
Currently in bed because this pregnancy is not my friend today, but can we talk about how magical the snow was over the weekend? I've decided my favorite day of the year has to be the day of the first snowfall in winter. It just can't be topped. This day was a good one. #winterwonderland#nyc#snow
Some strangers taking a video in snowy Central Park caught @tiesandfries being a penguin and we died afterwards when they came over to show us! Sleds are overrated. Just use your belly. #centralpark#nyc#snowdays
Our family had an incredible morning volunteering along side many of you at the @foodbank4nyc in the Bronx. Thank you to everyone who came out to help! At the end of our morning together, they told us our team helped put together over 3800 lbs of food or 3200 meals! They will be distributed among their network of 1,000 shelters, pantries, soup kitchens and schools in NYC this winter. You guys are amazing! Thanks for being so wonderful. (More on my insta stories.) #fighthunger#endhunger
I'm sharing some tips for taking great photos during the holidays at an event next week here in NYC with @homewoodsuites and I get to invite two of you to join me in-person at the event! If you're in the NYC metro area on 12/13, follow @homewoodsuites and comment below for a chance to come! I'll be sure to share a few of the tips here after the event, so we can all do our very best to #BringIt with festive photos this holiday season! #sponsored
One of our favorites! We saw @therockettes Christmas Spectacular today and between all the Santas on stage, the iconic toy soldier fall and that incredibly moving nativity scene, I'm . It was Conrad's first time going so E and S have been filling him in over the past few weeks about their favorite parts of the show. By the time we got to the theater and someone reminded Conrad of how snow falls from the ceiling, he was like, "ugh. I KNOW that!" Anyway, tons of videos on my insta stories, too. MERRY CHRISTMAS! #rockettes#christmas#nyc
What are some of the traditions you and your family do over the holidays? Share in the comments so we can all try out some new ones! I posted a big list of our family's favorite traditions on my blog today, link in profile if you wanna read them!
It's the first year where we haven't had to only decorate the top half of the Christmas tree My kids are finally old enough to leave the bottom glass ornaments alone! I think we get another pass next year since the twins won't be crawling yet. Also, typing that just now definitely gave me butterflies!
