The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. I love exploring new places, people and cultures. I'm looking at my next travel destination for 2017. Any suggestions? I love architecture, great service, white sand beaches and outdoor activities I'd love to hear your suggestions and experience from your travels
Age is truly just a number. Many people become depressed when they hit the big 4-0. There is no real reason to fear age 40. As a matter of fact, most people today including myself believe that 40 is the new 20. It is becoming accepted that a person of this age has fewer limitations with regards to health and lifestyle options than those of previous generations. People are living longer lives and, with proper lifestyle changes, can be as healthy, fit and vital, not to mention youthful in appearance and physique, for many of these years. It’s no secret that I’m very passionate about skin care. I’ve used skin care products my whole life but it’s been frustrating finding one that was effective and had all the ingredients I wanted. Being a published scientist with a degree in Molecular Biology from Harvard – I wanted to investigate what ingredients and compounds had real scientific data. In 2007, I published my research in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal entitled “The truth about over-the-counter topical anti-aging products: a comprehensive review.” From that research and through continued scientific investigation, I developed my skin care line MD GLAM @mdglam. Like many women, I always felt confused about which products to use and in what combination and I’ve always been skeptical of marketing claims. I just uploaded a YouTube videos with my best tips on how to keep your skin, body and spirit young. Direct link in bio. @mdglam#skincare#antiaging#plasticsurgeon#40isthenew20
Working out is truly one of our best friends when it comes to staying young, healthy, and happy. Throughout my years of working out and trying different training methods, I've noticed that nothing works better for me than sticking with free weights and basic exercises combined with some high intensity cardio. I was a fashion model when I was younger and I remember hearing from our agency that veins and muscles were absolutely a big no. Somehow that got stuck in my head and for a big portion of my life I was afraid to eat protein or go close to the the free weight section of the gym. That changed when I met my husband @binais and he talked me into eating more, smaller meals but more frequently; Also, he grabbed my hand from the cardio machines and took me on a romantic walk to the free weights. I loved the results I was getting and the way my body changed and got stronger. I have a big shoot in about 4 weeks and I'm on a tough regimen for the next couple of weeks and I'm really excited about it. Here is a short video demonstrating the type of exercises my workouts will be consisting of. #fitmom#fitmd
What someone else says about you when you are not present reflects more on their own character and who they are rather than who you are. When you brand yourself as someone who refrains from speaking disapprovingly of others, not only will people’s respect for you grow, but you will also be happier. Hope you are having a great Tuesday #positivevibes
As a working mom there have been many times I felt guilty for not being able to spend more time with my baby girl or sometimes missing things. There have been many times I felt like giving up, but having my little girl tell me she wants to be just like me always made me stronger and I could never disappoint her. No matter how we feel in life, whether it's failure or success; in the eyes, hearts, and minds of our children, we are always super moms. I find peace in knowing that I teach my daughter confidence to always know her self worth, the strength to always fight no matter what, humbleness to always help those who need a helping hand, and letting her know 10 times a day that her parents love her more than anything. #momlife#parenting
Stop reporting my posts! Once again one of my videos has been reported and deleted by @instagram. I have read Instagram terms and conditions and it does not violate any. My content is sometimes graphic but serves as strictly educational and has been appreciated by thousands who are seeking information about different procedures and helped many women get answers to questions they may be afraid to ask. If you are sensitive or not interested in what I do, why would you even follow my account as there are so many other accounts showing nudity in a way that won't offend you? My social media serves as a platform to inform and educate women about procedures, complications, and serve as a reliable source of information based on my years of training and experience as a double board certified plastic surgeon. If that bothers a few of you just unfollow or keep scrolling through the feed to look at the content that is pleasant for your eyes.
For those of you who are interested in plastic surgery and learning more, make sure to follow me on my Snapchat where I have more detailed explanations and videos about each procedure as well as patient follow ups and Q & A : beautybydrcat. Being successful means that you're working hard and walking your walk every day. Many times you don't get credit for all the hard work you do and nobody but you notices the struggle, long days, late nights and early mornings. The results will show, trust me. Success is not a destination, but the road that you're on so stay on it and never stop doing your best. #mdglam#plasticsurgery#grind
So thankful to have friends and family celebrate with me last night. And I'm seriously obsessed with this amazing cake . It has all my favorite things in it. I didn't want to cut into it because I loved it so much! Thank you hubby @binais
This patient wanted a natural look. She told me she always had to wear a padded push up bra and really wanted to feel comfortable in a bikini. She wanted more cleavage and more "side boob." Side boob isn't a medical term, but it is referring to the slight extension of the breast past the anterior axillary line - the vertical line drawn down from the armpit crease. It's the extra show of breast curve you can see in bikinis, tank tops, and sleeveless dresses. The side boob should extend in a gentle curve from the armpit crease and not be overly wide. It's not for everyone - but many women like to have a slightly fuller and rounder shape
This patient had 350cc HP silicone breast implants through a peri-areolar incision which at 3 months is practically invisible. The implant choice and careful expansion of the side of her breast creates a naturally round look. The extra volume allowed her to feel great even without a bra. Whatever the look - from small and natural to very full and more "fake" - every surgery is catered exactly to each individual patient's desires, concerns, and lifestyles. Women should never feel bad or be criticized for doing things for themselves to feel prettier, sexier, or more confident. For most of my patients (and myself) it was one of best decisions they made. #plasticsurgery#empoweringwomen#mdglam
