I can remember when Candace and Charles were telling me about @pizzana_la months ago, they wanted to make sure there was something for everyone.... and they did it, the were so substantial, rich in color and full nutrients.....and when at an Italian restaurant can you add chicken or salmon? My mom is the cutest! She still makes everyone an Easter basket.....I am in my s.......she really doesn't need to do it anymore but she doesn't have grandkids yet so I think she really can't help it (coming soon Mom.....promise!) •
Anyways.....a couple years ago I decided to steer the in the right direction and explained that I didn't want her spending on jelly beans and peeps if I was going to end up giving them away. Instead of telling her not to do what she ...... I shared a few brands with her. Now, my basket includes a few things I would actually buy myself like beauty products from @honest_beauty, @eminenceorganics or @acureorganics or dark from @theochocolate and @eatingevolved.
The reality is no needs to have their feelings hurt, it's all about giving LOVE and communication is ....so whether it's your Easter basket or elevating family traditions with more vegetables or healthy options ....sharing is caring and you should always feel safe to be healthy with family. it feels really good knowing everyone in the fam is eating the good stuff too .......just going to go drink my greens so I can bust into my Easter basket full of @eatingevolved cups and @theochocolate sea salt + almond
Labels suck. Don't label me. Labels create expectation they you in. I am not paleo, vegetarian, dairy free or keto. Labels make me want to break them. (food anxiety waiting to happen, am I right?) I just love good food, healthy cell building food, I don't like feeling bloated and satisfaction is . For me, that means some mix of the #bwbkfab4 (protein, fat, fiber and greens) but that doesn't mean I don't eat/pick vegan/vegetarian restaurants......I just want a few things:
highlight the vegetables don't create a "meat" out of grains, beans, seeds and nuts and expect me not to look pregnant when I leave don't fry in bad oils or load it with sugar and tell me it's "healthy" because it's vegan.....it's about the macronutrient and subsequent hormone cascade (plus if I want I am just gonna have em') give me all the flavor via spices and herbs and have the options that let your produce and quality speak for itself.
It's about the vegetables after all.....and honestly, I just want the vegetables to be vegetables....maybe I need more fat to stay full when I go vegetarian but when it's good....it's REAL (pun fun) good!
