"When I was traveling and taking photos, I came across a cute couple that were struggling to capture the moment. I offered to take a photo for them. It’s my way of doing a good deed when I travel, and contributing to the photo community. I found this couple near Vik in Iceland. The sun was setting and they were struggling to get a photo with their point and shoot. I took this photo for them." #MyCanonStory

"This is Jessica + Ben and their Arizona wedding at the windmill winery in Florence, Arizona. This is a super easy shot to pull off at this particular venue. With the style of the couple and the designs of their wedding it was perfect for them. I shot this off the end of the car hood to grab the reflection and placed two speed lights in the car, one in their lap and one in the backseat." #MyCanonStory

"This is one of my favorite photos of us because it’s perfectly imperfect. We were hoping for a bright sunny day, but instead it had poured rain. The rain finally subsided when we arrived at Emerald Lake, but Eric somehow ripped his jeans at the inseam as he was getting out of the car (hence the hoodie around his waist). I was setting up my camera for a shot of us in front of what was a clear and still reflection, but the rain started to pick up again. And yet, despite all the unexpected, we left smiling. So happy we decided to focus our travels on exploring national parks because now I get to see and appreciate the world’s most beautiful places, rain or shine, with my best friend." #MyCanonStory

"The feeling of getting caught in the rain with your beloved! The weather was overcast and we arrived at the venue to capture this couple's pre-wedding photo shoot. All of sudden, it started to rain. The couple was sad and I was happy as I had a shot in mind already. This was the perfect situation to execute it. I took out 2 Canon external flashes & used them as an off camera flash, one behind the couple and one in front." #MyCanonStory

"There are beautiful things everywhere you look, and photographic opportunities abound everywhere at weddings! "While I have a studio full of gear, I love to keep it simple. This is one continuous light, a huge umbrella, and a small reflector. This was shot at 9pm in the dark, and is one of my favorite new portraits from 2017." - @susanstriplingphotography #CanonExplorerOfLight

"That flower headdress? I made that. It was my one DIY project from the past five years, so I think I’m good for another five! My studio has beautifully brilliant natural light in the middle of the day. This was shot with no reflectors, no strobes, nothing else; just sunlight filtered through a 8x8 scrim." - @susanstriplingphotography #CanonExplorerOfLight

"Headshots don’t have to be boring! And you don’t need crazy complicated lighting setups either! This was one window at the subject’s back, a half-backdrop that ended just above the head of my client, and two white reflectors." - @susanstriplingphotography #CanonExplorerOfLight
