Tricia Price will be celebrating her 1-year anniversary with Redefined on Dec. 22. Tricia is a personal trainer and has the knowledge to know how to workout and help others, but she came to us to get that extra push to reach her own personal goals. I remember her coming in and telling us she just wanted to hit 135lbs on her back squat. She has taken that number and far surpassed it by hitting a 170lb back squat in October. Just this week she got her 1st ring muscle up. Tricia is a hard worker both in and out of the gym. She is a lover of outdoor activities ranging from paddle boarding to hunting with her husband and 3 kiddos. It has been a pleasure to coach her and we look forward seeing what goals can be achieved in 2018. Way to Rock It Girl!!!
Ryan Mccall joined us in May of this year and is probably one of our most improved athletes we’ve seen over the past few months. From coordination, balance, overall strength and general fitness, he’s made huge progress. When he began, you could tell right that he wanted to focus his attention on movement patterns and could care less what weights he was using or what scaling options he had to use. Today Ryan is a highly competitive athlete but it's a healthy competitiveness within himself. He pushes himself based on his abilities and nobody else’s. He’s always looking for advice on finding safer more efficient ways of doing things. Ryan also likes to bow hunt and is very active outside of the gym. Awesome Job Ryan. We look forward to seeing more of your progress.
This weeks’ athlete spotlight is Kurt Graber. Kurt's sense of humor and personality are a perfect fit at Redefined Fitness. He's very seldom serious and always keeps things light hearted, but when its go time he gives 100% every time. When he first started with us you could tell right away that he was serious about wanting to not only get better, but he wanted to make sure he was doing things right. He's been a pleasure to work with, and as a coach we greatly appreciate that because often times athletes focus on the clock and the leader board. Since joining us, Kurt has done numerous competitions and has learned a lot about the importance of proper mechanics and how that rolls over into competitions. We had a little set back early on with wrist surgery (due to pre-existing conditions) but we were able to rehab and modify workouts for him so that he could continue his fitness journey. Kurt has had multiple PR's along with increased performance across all the 10 fitness domains we train. We're super pumped to have him and his son, Ryan, with us and look forward to continuing to work with them.
Kerigan has been coming to Redefined for just over 2 months and has seen some tremendous gains, and losses. CrossFit is intimidating enough just by walking in the doors, but she jumped in with both feet and hasn’t looked back. The first day, she came in to inquire about a membership, and decided she was going to come back later that evening for her free trial class. Our members made her feel welcome and comfortable, like they do with all new members.
Kerigan began her fitness journey before she joined us by losing over 100lbs on her own. We are just helping her stay true to her goals and holding her accountable. Not only has she lost more body fat, but she has also had multiple PR’s, including a 55lb gain in her back squat, getting her first rope climb, and learning handstand walks. Great Job Kerigan! Keep up the hard work. We’re so proud of you! #CrossfitRedefined#RedefinedFitness#RealMeasurableResults#hardworkpaysoff#ropeclimb#handstandwalk#backsquat#PRs
