God wants to bring sisters together. Every Mary needs an Elizabeth, stop your bickering and your badmouthing, drop your guns and your gossip, drop your verbal swords, God put something in your sister that you need and He put something in you that she needs. When you come together for prayer and mutual support, powerful things can happen.
In john 8:3-11, Jesus dealt with an issue raised by a group of religious leaders who caught a woman in the act of adultery. There was no question that she was guiltily and the law was clear: Adulterers must be stoned to death. But adultery takes two. Have you ever wondered where the man who committed adultery with this woman was? Surely eyewitness knew who he was. Clearly Jesus saw the foolish religious pride in the hearts of these accusers. He was not condoning the son of adultery. He simply understood the need to meet people where they were and minister to their need. He saw the pride in the Pharisees and ministered correction to that pride. He saw the wounded woman and ministered forgiveness. Justice demanded that she be stoned to death but Mercy threw the case out of court. He loves you just as you are but He's the Lord of the second Chance. #maranatha
