I'm Ella, 1/2/15. I'm not a puppy anymore but I still live at home with my mom & dad. They say I'll always be their baby. I'm a lucky girl.

Don't take your eye off your blanket with this girl around. Whatever is "yours" will quickly become "hers" especially if she's relaxing on the couch. #blankiebandit

Dear IG Friends,
We would like to share some sad news. Our sweet Ella has been diagnosed with retinal degeneration. We were told she is already blind in one eye and has little vision in the other. Although we were aware that Ella had the beginning of a cataract (which led to the appointment with an ophthalmologist), we were completely shocked to learn that she has already lost most of her vision. She is only two years old. Despite this devastating news, we are grateful that it is not something more serious. We could have been faced with the diagnosis of a brain tumour. While we continue to process the news, we are taking comfort in knowing how well dogs adapt to vision loss. To watch Ella, you would never know. She continues to run through the house with her bulldog sister and play at the park the same as always. For that, we feel blessed. Thank you to: @jaxthesheepdog.andtgram and @chrisgerck for your words of support, @roxytheblinddeafdog for being an inspiration. You'll be in our hearts forever. and @cooperncricket for all of the above and more. We love you all ❤️

Just back from the spa, clean, fluffy and with a little less hair. Hello to my friend, @jaxthesheepdog.andtgram Mom says we are both beautiful and perfect with or without hair.

It looks like Spring...I think the groundhog was right! PS) I apologize for not posting for a while. I haven't been feeling well and neither has mom so photo shoots had to be put on hold. We're better now and looking forward to sharing more pics.
