Earlier, I posted about the “Fall In Love With Nudes” lip set that I received from @gloskinbeauty.ph. These are what’s included in the set:
▪️(Photo 2) Lipstick in French Nude. An earthy rose nude with a creamy, satin finish. The longwear formula includes nourishing vitamins A, C, E and green tea extract. I love the color payoff from this shade.
▪️(Photo 3) Gloss in Naked. A sheer, glossy peach nude gloss with a high-shine formula containing antioxidants and lip conditioners to nourish the lips.
▪️(Photo 4) Cream Glaze Crayon in Chiffon. A glossy, soft pink nude. It has mango oil and shea butter for extra conditioning making it really creamy and shiny. This would be my least favorite though, simply because the color washes me out.
▪️(Photo 4) Suede Matte Crayon in Monogram. This is a deep nude with a matte finish. It also has antioxidant vitamins, mango oil and shea butter so the lips don’t dry out. This is my fave and the one that I’ve been using the most. It’s matte, which is my fave finish. Also, I love this shade on me the most.
▪️(Photos 5 and 6) Swatches with two different lighting. I wish I was good at taking photos of swatches but this was the best I could do. Sorry!

I think Glo makes some of the best nude lipsticks out there. Their Suede Matte Stick in Bliss is one of my fave nudes. Looking forward to use these lippies more! Thanks, Glo! 💋

Last month, I got this lip set as a birthday gift from @gloskinbeauty.ph. If you know me, you know I love a classic nude lip so this was such a treat! This is their limited edition “Fall In Love with Nudes” Lip Kit which contains four lip products in different formats and finishes.

The set contains the following:
▪️ Lipstick in French Nude, an earthy rose nude with a creamy, satin finish
▪️ Gloss in Naked which is a sheer, glossy peach nude
▪️ Suede Matte Crayon in Monogram, a matte deep nude (my fave of the bunch!)
▪️ Cream Glaze Crayon in Chiffon, a glossy soft pink nude
▪️ Crayon sharpener

You can mix and match these products or wear on their own. Will show swatches on the next post. Thank you again, @gloskinbeauty.ph for this lovely set! 💋

REVIEW • This Moisture Bound Cream was part of the package that @earthsrecipe was kind enough to send me to try and review.

This is a moisturizing cream aimed to nourish and hydrate the skin. It contains extracts from Tremella Mushroom which is said to be able to hold 500 times it’s own weight in water. It also has a lot of other skin loving ingredients such as niacinamide, ceramides and centella.

The product itself is a glistening white cream with a yogurt-like consistency. The texture is light to medium and feels luxurious on the skin. It’s silky to the touch, spreads easily, but can feel a bit sticky (when you apply a lot). It also takes some time to absorb but when it does, you immediately feel the difference. I wish I knew how to accurately describe the scent but it has a lovely citrusy scent that I really enjoy.

I turned to this cream when my face started getting dry patches because of the weather changes we’ve been having lately and this didn’t let me down. A little bit goes a long way and this leaves my face so soft, plump and bouncy. It did a great job at hydrating my skin. After a couple of nights using this, the dry patches were gone! I love it! 🙌🏼

This can be used by all skin types but I believe it would work best for those with dry or combo skin.

I am really impressed with the products I’ve tried from the brand so far and I’m looking forward to what else they have to offer. This is available at www.amazon.com/shops/earthsrecipe and @altheakorea. Thank you again, @earthsrecipe for letting me try this product! *Product sent by the brand but all opinions are and will always be my own.

Decided to try this @lovemoreofficial Pearl & Red Pearl Barley Mask Sheet the other night and it pretty much was a similar experience to the first two (Wine Yeast and Mung Beans & Licorice) variants that I’ve tried.

I really love the fit and feel of these Lovemore masks. They’re some of the thinnest masks I’ve ever tried and they feel incredibly light and comfortable.

The mask is made of 100% silk and is soaked in clear, watery essence. I didn’t notice any particular scent with this one.

It felt refreshing but I did notice some tingling sensation halfway. I’m not sure if my skin was just extra sensitive that night or what. The tingling dissipated in a minute or so and after removing the mask, I was left with supple and brighter looking skin.

Now which variant to try next? 💕

Yesterday, I posted about three of my fave AM products for getting rid of dry patches. This time, I’m posting some of my heavier creams which I use in my PM routines. These three are my current go-to products for taking care of dry skin. Along with my face oils, these are the products I’ve been reaching for the most.

Any of you currently experiencing dry skin due to the weather?

I’ve been getting some dry patches on the face lately because of the sudden changes in the weather and these three have been helping me deal with those pesky areas. I mostly use these as part of my morning routine while I use my heavier creams/occlusives at night (will do a separate post on those). Granted, I’m in an air-conditioned area 90% of the time so that probably contributes to my skin’s condition. Oh well.

What are your favorite products for getting rid of dry patches?

Arrived home late last night so I just did a quick routine. I miss being *more* active here on IG but work schedule has been busy lately and I’ve been going on duty every three days and even every other day. Can’t wait to be able to catch up on everyone’s posts. This was last night’s (and most likely tonight’s as well) short lineup. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! ☾

It’s been a while since I used a sheet mask for the first time. I noticed my skin becoming a bit dry as the weather continues to be crazy so I decided to try this Hyaluronan Moisturizing Mask by @myscheming.ph.

This mask aims to provide hydration deep into the skin thanks to high levels of hyaluronan. The mask, like the ones from this range, is made of a thin, 100% cellulose material.

As usual, the mask was drenched with essence which was watery but not runny— it had some slip to it. It also had a bit of a weird chemical (?) smell, though nothing too noxious or anything. The fit was still good and it was comfortable to wear.

I found this mask pleasant and very hydrating. It delivered its promise on hydrating/plumping the skin. It also somewhat brightened my face so, double win! Will repurchase for sure. 💜

What’s your favorite hydrating mask?

REVIEW • I’ve been having a love affair with blushes lately and my current fave is this @beccacosmetics Beach Tint which I got from @sephoraph in the shade Fig. The brand describes it as a créme stain that tints lips and cheeks with a natural wash of color. The formula is oil-free, streak-free and water-resistant.

It comes in a small screw-top squeeze tube which contains 7mL of product. You have to shake it well before using though, otherwise you’d get a watery or runny consistency, which can be a bit frustrating at times. The small size makes it perfect for travel since it could easily fit any pouch.

This shade is a soft, brownish nude pink. It’s a very muted color that still manages to give off a natural flush. It has a yummy, fruity scent which I actually enjoy every time I use this. The scent disappears once it’s dry and doesn’t linger.

It has a thin, creamy, mousse-like consistency and feels light on the skin. I just use my fingertips when applying and spreading this on the cheeks. It blends or rather, melts beautifully on the skin and gives off a natural finish.

I feel like this is one of those products (well, this shade anyway) that you can apply directly on your cheek and not worry about overdoing it. It’s foolproof. The product gives off a subtle and sheer finish but is also buildable if you prefer a stronger wash of color. The product dries in about a minute or so and stays put for quite some time.

Why did I discover this just now? This is EXACTLY how I want my cream cheek products to feel like and I’ve been using this every chance I get. It applies ever so smoothly on the cheeks. I also love how it never gets cakey or patchy (atleast for me) even when I apply this on top of my tinted moisturiser/skin tint/serum foundation.

I don’t like this as a lip product though, as it tends to feel tacky on the lips. It also washes me out so this will most likely remain a cheek product for me.

I’m torn between getting a couple more shades or just wait for my Glossier Cloud Paint orders to arrive. I’m also on a no-buy so I don’t know how that’s all going to work out. LOL

PS. Swipe for some swatches! // What’s your fave cream blush?

They make use of ingredients that are sourced responsibly and aim to create products that nourish the body, mind and soul. I admire the brand’s ethos and advocacies and I was really lucky to have won their giveaway last month to try one of their products. If you know me, you know that I love this kind of packaging. I took a whiff of the product as soon as I got it and it smells so good too! Will review as I get to use it and I’m really looking forward to it. Came across this @sleekmakeupph X @projectvanitycom collaboration a couple of weeks back and thought I’d get myself a set.

This is the Sleek x Project Vanity Kit and it contains a Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit (P450), eyeshadow palette in Original (P695) and a True Color Matte Lipstick of your choice (P425) all for just P645! I’ve always wanted to try the Birthday Suit and I thought the entire thing was such a steal!

All these comes in a custom-made deep peach leatherette pouch. Great as gift for friends or for yourself. 😛

You can get this at www.projectvanity.com/store 💕

One of the most asked about products in my routines is the Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% from The Ordinary.

I’ve reviewed this before (about 25 rows down) and can’t stop raving about it. I loved it then and I still love it now! I’m already on my second tube and I don’t ever want to be without this.

It brightens the skin tone, improves texture and reduces the look of blemishes. Some people don’t really like the slight silicone-y texture but I’m fine with it. It makes the skin really smooth on application.

Not sure if it’s too early to say this but I’m counting this as one of my best/favorite skincare discoveries of the year.

I’m passing this off as a #1empty1newbie even if it’s the same product. 😛

Have you tried any product with azelaic acid?

About 2 weeks ago, I was tagged by @jorea_journey (thanks, Jasmine!) to do a #10thingsaboutme post. I decided to put random non-skincare/beauty related stuff since that’s what’s mostly in this IG account anyway. Here goes:

1. I was born, raised, and am still here in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 I enjoy traveling and wish I could do it more often when schedule permits. I promised myself that I would visit at least one new country per year and I've been doing so for the past couple of years. My favorite trip so far was when I went to Greece early this year! 🇬🇷

2. I love to eat! I can't live without rice and my fave cuisine would be Japanese. 🍣 I also prefer sit-down/course/degustation type of meals over buffets. I enjoy my food more when it looks pretty.

3. My closet is composed of 60% black, 20% white and 20% colored clothing.

4. I'm really short, just about 5'1" but would still prefer flats over heels.

5. I’ve always wanted a tattoo but too chicken to do it. I’ve had a design in mind since 7th grade.

6. When I was younger, I took a bit of gymnastic lessons, Jazz (dance), and was into cheerleading. I can still do cartwheels but it definitely hurts a lot now. 🤸🏻‍♀️

7. My favorite number is 7.

8. Both of my parents and one of my younger brothers are also doctors. 👨🏻‍⚕️👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️

9. I hate going/being barefoot. 👣 I have a pair of slippers for my bedroom, another pair for the shower and one for the rest of the house.

10. I grew up listening to classic rock because of my dad. I love Led Zeppelin and my ultimate music-related dream in life is to see Jimmy Page and Robert Plant onstage. 🎸

That’s it I guess. I had fun answering! Tagging: @allthings.z @kimchiandsnails @charmsayslalalalove @feedthyface @yogisnails @skinconversations @datkbeautyglow @momskindiary @porepatrol @layla_mercredi @myskinandstyle (Sorry if you’ve answered this before!) 🖤

Ginel (@ginelfaustino)

Using the @sleekmakeupph Matte Me in Birthday Suit today since, well, it’s my birthday! Lol 🎂

I thought it would be more nude so I didn’t like it at first. It’s not exactly MLBB for me but I love how this perks up my face. It’s such a pretty color and it’s the perfect pink nude for me.

I’ve been wanting to try this but kept putting off buying it because I still had lip products I haven’t finished. Luckily, I came across the brand’s collaboration with @projectvanitycom and got this for a steal. More on that soon! 💕

Ginel (@ginelfaustino)

REVIEW • A couple weeks back, @earthsrecipe sent me a package with some of their products to try out and review. One of the products they sent was the Waterful Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA+++ which I have been using everyday since. I have to say that this was such a pleasant surprise!

This is a chemical sunscreen formulated with Harrogate Sparkling Water, which is packed with minerals for hydration. It was made to help keep pores clear while protecting the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

It contains 50mL of product and comes in a simple, white, plastic packaging with a flip-top cap. The flip-top cap is really convenient and I like how compact the packaging is.

It has a light, refreshing, citrusy scent that goes away after a couple of minutes. The product itself is white and very light with a watery lotion-like texture.

On application, it starts off as a very sheer white color and disappears once you spread it in as if it melts into the skin. It spreads easily, applies smoothly and doesn’t leave any residue or greasy feel.

It doesn’t give off any white cast. Instead, it gives the skin a glowy/mildly shiny finish but nothing a good powder can’t fix if you’re not into the dewy look.

It feels hydrating and very comfortable on the skin. I imagine this would be great for summer especially since it’s so lightweight.

I have combo skin with occasional redness and dry patches/flakiness on the cheek area but I didn’t find this to be irritating nor drying at all. It also works great under makeup and even on days when you want to go makeup-free.

Overall, I‘m loving this sunscreen for daily use. I highly recommend this and I think this is a great contender for my favorite Japanese sunscreen.

Thank you again, #earthsrecipe! I’m enjoying your products and will review the others soon!
