Back to Abuja after a lovely weekend in Kogi. We had such a fantastic time! My husband is an excellent driver but this trip really tested him. The number of times he swore! πŸ˜‚πŸ™Š People driving with full headlights or no lights at all, no indicating, overtaking anyhow, terribly loaded trailers (see instastories), no respect for lanes, pretty DEEP potholes etc. At some point today, we nearly crashed because of this crazy way of driving. Super scary!! Anyway, thank Jesus we went and came back in one piece. Well done babe @ckokere! πŸ˜‚πŸ’›πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Best part of yesterday was seeing my grandmother, Mama Rebecca. She also met her great grandchildren for the first time (SWIPE LEFT). Such a blessing! God is Good. πŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ’›πŸŽŠ PS: I know I’ve been rubbish about posting on here but I’ve been sharing bits of our family trip to Nigeria on Instastories. TATTOO [outtake] - As a fan of body mods (tattoos, piercings), I never understood why our grandmas had these kind of tattoos yet it wasn’t cool for me to get a tattoo. If you have a tat, what’s it of and why did you get it? If you don’t, why would or wouldn’t you get one?

DAY 31 - L I F E
Ultimately I’m grateful for the gift of life. Grateful that I’m alive to have all these things to be thankful for. Grateful for the festive season and all other celebrations we’ve had this year. Super thankful that we’ve all made it to the last day of 2017 and about to step into 2018. I can’t possibly write all that I’m thankful for on here....πŸ˜…πŸ˜… Just so full of gratitude right now! πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

DAY 30 [Catch Up] - 2017 FIRSTS
Quite a few firsts this year. Amarachi’s first birthday. Her first flight. Chidubem’s first day at pre-school. Worked out of country for the first time courtesy of @aladyandamummy. @Fran7cesca’s children’s baptism was the first I ever photographed and first time I attended a catholic ceremony. It opened the floodgates and I went on to shoot 3 more baptisms/christenings and also my first Holy Communion. So amazing! @KacheeTee’s baby shower was also a first. In fact I remember seeing photos from a baby shower at the end of 2016 and making it a goal to photograph a baby shower in 2017. Happy that it came true! Not forgetting my first charity collaboration with @ColourfulBeginnings, which led to my first NICU photo session. What a fantastic year it’s been!!!! I’m sure there were other firsts I can’t remember just now...I am infinitely grateful for them all. Did you have any firsts you’re grateful for? Please share! Looking forward to 2018 Firsts in every area of our lives in Jesus name! AMEN! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸΎπŸŽ‰ #HeWillDoIt #31DaysOfThanks

DAY 29 - B O O K S πŸ“š
Thankful for access to books! For well stocked bookshops and libraries. Thankful for being able to read even though I haven’t been doing much of it lately. Except the books I read to my kids. πŸ™ˆ
Especially thankful for my new kindle, cos e-books are πŸ’― for the minimalist in me! Now I really I have no excuse not to read cos I’ll always have a book with me. In fact I’m going to try to read (start and finish) at least 1 book a month in 2018. Wait....let me think about that critically!!! Nah I’m gunno try hard! πŸ€”πŸ˜…πŸ™πŸΎ
