Wall squat meditation position with @docjenfit @themobilitymethod ✌🏻With this simple challenge, it has shown me the importance of adding mobility into your life, especially since we have all become so much more sedentary in the things we do daily. Today’s the day to reflect on my three words for this challenge which were Focus, Strength and Movement. Ending the day after a great workout with Day 5 and 6 of the #GratefulForMobility Challenge with @docjenfit @themobilitymethod πŸ™ŒπŸ» Quadruped Adductor Rock and the Hip 90/90 Stretch are two really great routines to add especially with leg day to help open up the hip adductors as well as internal and external rotators. Day 4 of the #GratefulForMobility Challenge with @docjenfit @themobilitymethod practicing the kneeling psoas stretch for the hip flexors. The most important part of this stretch is making sure you tuck that pelvis under into a posterior tilt and you can simply get there but tightening the glutes. Ending Day 2 of #GratefulForMobility Challenge with @docjenfit @themobilitymethod πŸ€— Today was a long and stressful feeling kind of day and my body feels really burnt out for the lack of sleep and long work days I’ve been putting in. Today’s mobility challenge was focused on wrist extension and flexion stretches as well as cat/cow pose. I performed these stretches, but was very grateful to have Child’s Pose as the Gratitude of the Day position. I really needed this type of meditation pose to allow my body and mind to relax before I head to bed. Being able to meditate will help me refocus and refuel for tomorrow is a new day ✨

Day 1 of the #GratefulForMobility Challenge with @docjenfit @themobilitymethod performing the Pec Stretch on the Wall. Think about how many hours a day you spend looking down at your phone or working on your computer. You spend hours getting yourself into positions that cause adaptations and potential pain so therefore it will take just as much time to practice good habits to break those positions. When I first herniated a disc in my lower back a year ago, extension was painful and uncomfortable for me that I became very flexion biased This has caused me to be super tight across my chest muscles that my shoulders round forward leading to upper back and neck pain by the end of the day. With all the weight lifting I love to do every day, I am more than guilty πŸ™‹πŸ» that I don’t incorporate enough mobility and flexibility training into my routine which is why I wanted to take on this challenge. My three words I choose to embody every day through this challenge are Focus, Strength and Movement. Looking for a great stretch to start the day? Try this move out and let me know what you think! Place your inside leg against the wall while gliding your arm up and around to end up opening the arm behind you. Pull the shoulder blades back and slight rotate open to feel the stretch!
