Fun design on @jfresshhh !!! I don't do a lot of designs but it's always fun to get out of your comfort zone! What other hairstylists do barber type work? Or do you pass and recommend them to go to a barber shop??
Tell me what you think?! I believe we should share our knowledge with everyone who wants to learn. My secrets are not secrets lol. I bet you everything I've thought was my own technique has probably be done by hundreds of people over the last 50 years of hair. Now I don't believe you should just give all your knowledge away for free at the same time. If you e invested money into your self, you become of value to others. But in the end I'd always say if someone is willingness to learn you should teach. I have learned so much just by educating for other product companies and for myself as well as doing one on one classes. what do you think?!
Scissor cut with some MASSIVE volume I say this all the time but your blowdryer is what makes or breaks a haircut. If you can't finish your hair with a solid blow dry does it matter how good the haircut is? Finished with @1821manmade Paste
I've really been enjoying my shears for precision work. It's challenging and because of that challenge I'm in the cut 100 percent of the time. Each snip thinking what will happen and what my next move will be. It's a cautious, thought out process and is a good change up to clipper work. I have the raddest clients ever letting me be creative with their hair identity
Do you ever wonder what your hair could do with a lil help from a blow dryer? Over the last 8 years of doing hair I have seen a blowdryer change someone's hair life. I've seen countless lightbulbs turn in when explaining what exactly a blowdryer is for. The science behind changing hair from Alfa Keratin to Beta Keratin (look it up its some rad stuff!) but ya, that's the stuff I love.
This weekend was much much needed. Got to spend time with family and able to relax my mind down by the beach. The past year and a half has been a wild ride. Last year breaking my foot was the turning point in my personal life of how I wanted to live. No more pride, no more arrogance and more love and understanding. Its funny how a broken foot will stop you and make you re evaluate life lol. It's been a year since I became the new me and I am happier then ever before. Im focused on what I need to focus on now and I have begun to understand my personal balance in life. Thank you for all the support and love here on Instagram. :@702lonewolf also thanks to Javi for being such a rad human. Good friends and the beach. Can't complain.
Consistency is extremely important in the walk of a hair cutter. This dude has been coming to me for the past 3/4 years and we have given him the same cut every time. He's consistent and I'm consistent. It's his personality and it fits him perfect. He's focusing on school and his future and not too worried about a new haircut or needing a "change". I've worn black every day for years now, people say I need to add color in my life, I disagree. People might think Alex should change his haircut because it's been so long, and I also disagree
Growing out your hair for winter like @dj_ras ??? Make sure to stay up on your Biotin and healthy foods! On a more serious note this dude has some of the best hair. It almost blends itself. do you guys have clients that give you total creative control???
Another fun precision cut on @dolface_beauty !!! Thanks to @shannelmariano for teaching me my precision ways We didn't change the shape much this cut but we added some texture and freshened the ends all around! Whatcha think?! Do you enjoy precision cuts as much as I do?!
This was frickin fun!!! the amount of texture I put into this hair was INSANE! This dudes hair is super dense and could handle massive amounts of point cutting. I love a true textured haircut with scissors only. It just looks different then using "texture" shears. Maybe heavier texture? Idk.....
What would you say the different is between texture with POINT CUTTING vs. TEXTURE SHEARS (with teeth) ?!?!?
@rukus.tattooed let me time lapse his blow dry today. Tyler is another rad dude who gives me creative control. I cut his hair how his hair wants to be cut. I don't fight his natural growth patterns. I cut with them, I try to enhance them or make the cowlicks actually benefit his style. Inspect your clients hairs and see how it likes to lay down and then keep that in mind with each section
This is my home away from home. This is where I spend my time. This is where I push myself and try to stay ahead of the curve. I feel like when I step in that little room I enter a whole different world. Come down and experience it with me.
Las Vegas is my home town, born and raised. I've never thought of my city so unified until the last 24 hours. The blood donations are overwhelmed with people right now, please make your appointments online, they will be needing blood for the next few weeks at least. Prayers, or however you send blessings, go out to the families and friends of victims. Thank you to the Las Vegas Metro, Fire and EMT and mostly to the first responding citizens, security, emt's at the event who literally laid their life down for other strangers. Thank you to those who picked up fleeing victims in their cars or helped others over fences and walls. RIP to the lost souls. (I was not there, I do not know how horrible this event is to deal with right now, that's not what this is for, I'm coming from a complete outsider who cares for his city and community.)
This dude has awesome hair. It loves to be blow dried and set into shape. Doesn't fight against what you do with a blow dry and works well with a tiny bit of dry paste. Can you ask for easier at home maintenance?!
