I remember reading about Otto some years ago; I couldn't believe it when I stumbled upon it walking through the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart. What a fascinating adventure, if you're not familiar with the story behind this G-wagen, look it up...my FZJ80 has some catching up to do.
It's nice to come home from a trip, and find new parts at home waiting for install. I love the form and function of the @momomotorsport Supercup seats and Prototipo wheel. Classy never goes out of style! #momoheritage always looks the part in #kaidohouse projects. #MOMO
As my trip to Stuttgart comes to an end, I wanted to finish this photo set (for now) with one of my favorite cars from the Porsche Museum: Austro-Daimler "Sascha" Everything about this machine is just amazing to me. I also wanted to thank Samir of the Porsche Museum who was my personal guide and educated me so much on Porsche's history and motorsports heritage. If any of you are fortunate to run into him on a visit to Stuttgart, do say hi, he's one of the coolest and most knowledgeable people you'll meet.
It was such an experience seeing these race machines in the "flesh" instead of obsessing over photos as I usually do. I had no idea just how fat the 917 "pink pig" really is. It's a fatty alright! #Porsche
