If you saw my post yesterday, you know that I have decided to share some of my all-time favorite skincare product reviews. You can mask the problem with primers and foundations or you can fix the problem with a healthy skin routine. .
Pictured above are two of the products I love from the @batemanskincare line. I intend to highlight a few more of their products (Herbal Balancing Toner and the AHA Exfoliating Gel to name a couple) in the weeks to come. .
Vegan & Cruelty Free
This review will focus on The Daily Hyaluronic Serum and Daily Hyaluronic Cream. Both retail for $33. (Today ONLY the price drops 30% to $23.10 when you use their #CyberMonday code: “LetsCyber”) .
Key Ingredients- Seaweed Extract and Hyaluronic Acid
Key Benefits- Moisturizes, strengthens skin, stimulates production of new collagen. Oil free. No added fragrance.
Use-I use a dime size amount all over my face and neck, daily. The serum dries fairly quick and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or wet.
Good for- Normal, Oily, problematic skin.
Science & Things- Hyaluronic Acid has been used medicinally to help heal wounds and burns.
Verdict- Two thumbs up. I have and will continue to repurchase this serum. I believe I have seen a change in my skin’s elasticity after 1 year of use. .
Key Ingredients- Jojoba Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Squalene (vegan), Hyaluronic Acid
Key Benefits- Moisturizes, softens skin, stimulates production of new collagen. No added fragrance.
Use- I apply a thin layer to my face at night after cleansing. Since I use the serum in the AM, this is my PM go to.
Good for- Normal to dry skin.
Science & Things- A form of Hyaluronic Acid is found naturally in the body but diminishes as we age.
Verdict- Again, two thumbs up. The texture is lightweight and is perfect for my skin right before bed. .

Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to share my fav skincare products I've discovered this year. It seems to be the forgotten element in makeup application. Well taken care of skin, is the number one ingredient to how well your makeup looks and lasts. You can have amazing foundation and primers, but it can all be for not if you aren't showing your skin a little love.
. @glamglow has been a fav brand of mine for a while. The Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer and Gravity Mud Firming Treatment were already staples. After trying these I fell even more in love.
So let's get to the breakdown
Super Cleanse (Retail: $32) Grey color creamy texture. Smells a bit like black licorice (not my absolute fav smells... but it isn't super overpowering). Add a tiny bit of water and rub your hands together until it foams up. Apply to the face and rinse clean. Removed makeup, was gentle on my skin and left my skin feeling soft. I didn't have any irritation (which I usually do when I try new skin care products) so I was pleasantly surprised.
Galactic Cleanse: (Retail $36) Well I have a new favorite. Black shimmery gel that smells AMAZING (a lot like the Volcasmic moisturizer) Apply with dry hands to your dry face. It will stay in its black gel form for this step. Next just wet your hands and massage the moisture into your skin and the black gel transforms to a moisturizing milk. Then rinse clean. I can't get enough of this one. No skin irritation and left my skin feeling clean and soft.
BubbleSheet: (Retail $9) Just the novelty of the foam is enough for me to love it but this little mask is a great addition to my skin care routine. The tingling bubble action on this one was awesome. Key Ingredients: bamboo charcoal and green tea. .
Verdict: I will purchase all 3 in the future. I have combo skin and I am not acne prone so these fit my specific needs. While everyone's needs are different, these are moisturizing and gentle enough to do the job. A little goes a long way so the $ is worth it. .
