Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Definitely the best view of Rio is from the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. You can see the beaches, the city as well as Christ the Redeemer.
The perfect vantage point to take in this beautiful city.
Who is ready for Mardi Gras?
Sunset in the Big Easy, New Orleans!
One of the things I love about this city is the way it comes alive at night. With the electricity of the crowds and the history of the architecture it is no wonder this is one of the most fun cities in the world.
We had an absolute blast here and can’t wait to return!
Looking up into the Bamboo Forest in Maui at the end of the Hana Highway.
Haleakala National Park is something you do not want to miss when you visit Maui.
At the end of the Hana Highway you can take a 2 mile hike which will bring you to the is beautiful Bamboo forest.
It was not something I was expecting but was really glad that I continued to the end of the highly to discover.
You feel so small walking through the Himalayan Valley in Nepal.
As I look through my photos from Nepal I can't help but remember the feeling trekking through this epic landscape.
It seemed like there was a postcard view around every corner.
There is something memorable about walking with your jaw agape at scenes like this for 2 weeks :) A feeling I will never forget.
Taking a look at the beauty of The Big Easy.
We have been to #NOLA a few times and find we discover new things each visit.
On our last trip we found the amazing city views from the Crescent City Connection, explored the swamp a little bit and got to see the city prepare for Mardi Gras and it’s 300th anniversary!
It is crazy to think that this city is older than Canada!

Monasteries look over the stunning Meteora landscape.
Meteora, Greece has some of the most beautiful and unique landscapes on the planet.
Large rock formations topped by ancient monasteries makes this a destination that should be on the top of your bucket list.
This is definitely a place I could visit again and again!
Sunset at the Crescent City Connection in New Orleans.
New Orleans is not just about Mardi Gras and the French Quarter it also has some great cityscape views if you know where to look.
I knew that these 2 cantilever bridges would make a great shot and the view of the Skyline from this side of the Mississippi is pretty spectacular as well.
If you visit New Orleans don’t forget to explore across the river .

First light over the Cappadocia Valley in Turkey.
We were fortunate enough to get 2 balloon rides while we were in Cappadocia and this particular morning the light was just beautiful.
It is the stuff that dreams are made of. Gliding over the rugged landscape where the silence of the morning is only broken by the odd blast of air for the balloon.
Something I will never forget.
Sunset over Jackson Square in New Orleans.
Located in the French Quarter this was the the site of the Louisiana Purchase where the state became a part of the United States.
The first church on the site was built in 1718; the third, built in 1789 and the cathedral was expanded and largely rebuilt in 1850.
It is definitely one of the most recognizable landmarks in New Orleans.

The stunning Kylemore Abbey in Ireland.
One of the most picturesque places we visited in Ireland was this Abbey. It was founded for Benedictine Nuns who fled Belgium in World War I.
The reflecting pond in the front makes for a picture perfect scene.
Follow the road less travelled on the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Everyone knows we love road trips and this one along the Cabot trail in Cape Breton was simply stunning. Not only did it have beautiful coastal views but the road itself was so fun to drive.
If you make it out to Nova Scotia you have to make sure to check out this road trip!
Ice climbing at Johnston Canyon in Banff, Alberta.
Getting out there and enjoying the cold weather is possible. Ice climbing is such an incredible way to stay warm and take in the amazing scenery that Alberta has to offer.
This is definitely one of my favourite places in the world.
Under the Tuscan Sun.
Our time in Tuscany was amazing. We tasted great wine, partook in fantastic meals and witnessed some stunning scenery.
There is a reason this region is so special. What made it even more special was the friendliness and kindness of the locals, especially one in particular. Elena from @borgoargenina not only made our stay fun she reminded us of how passion for ones homeland can be contagious.
It certainly made us want to return.
Cold can be beautiful.
The ice formations in Greenland are like no other in the world. And it is even more impressive when you see what lies beneath the surface.
They don’t call this the birthplace of Icebergs for nothing.
It has been one of my favourite destinations in the world since I visited. So raw and untamed.
Sunrise at the Washington Monument.
Washington D.C. certainly surprised us. We went with low expectations but were blown away by this city. So much to see and do and some of the most friendly people we have met in the U.S.
We were there with @ihgrewardsclub to check out their new hotel @intercontinentaldcwharf and man what a beautiful hotel! Close to everything and with some beautiful views.
We will definitely return to DC as there is still so much to see.
One recommendation I have if you want great photos of the monuments is to get up early and go for sunrise. It was like we had the city to ourselves.
Our #1 Photo of 2017!
Happy New Year Everyone!
Paper Lanterns fill the sky at the Yi Peng festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
I always wanted to go to the lantern festival ever since I saw the photos of thousands of lanterns in the sky. Even though the free festival where they used to release them in years passed has been cancelled you can still see an impressive display in Chiang Mai itself.
Pastel colours light up the sky on our horse trek in Kyrgyzstan.
After a hard day of riding we were treated to a great sunset. This was our reward.
As I looked out from our tent it was this scene that warmed my heart.
When I thought of Kyrgyzstan before this is what I imagined. Horses in the wild against a backdrop of beauty.
Top Photo of 2017 #3: Sunset over Loch Ness in Scotland.
One of the best sunsets we have seen in Scotland was just outside Inverness.
The sky just lit up like it was on fire.
I think if you look hard enough you might even see Nessie in this one .
Sunset in Positano, Italy
Top Photo of the Year #4
Our trip to Positano was awesome. It has become one of our favourite places in Italy and you can see why.
The coastline is stunning and the driving is adventurous.
Just what we were looking for.
Beaching it in Fiji
Beaches are beautiful but the sun can be harsh. Luckily our @transitionslenses adapt to the sunlight of the tropics.
Whether we are sailing the seven seas, sipping coffee in a café or enjoying a day at the beach, our eyes are protected from every kind of light.
By partnering with Transitions we are taking care of our eye health and doing it in style. #livethegoodlight#beaches#sponsored
