The magical Tiger's Nest Monastery in Bhutan.
It has been one of my dream locations to photograph for years. After seeing it for the first time in a magazine I knew I had to journey to Bhutan to trek up to this mythical place.
The hike is not easy, especially with a 35lb pack of camera gear on your back, but let me tell you it was worth it.
This place surpassed all of my expectations.

Sunset at the
Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Temple in Punakha, Bhutan
One of the places that you have to visit when in Bhutan is definitely this temple. Situated high above the town of Punakha it offers an impressive view of the valley below but also the temple itself is a stunning work of art on its own.
Built by one of the Queen Mothers, its exterior is in the form of a pagoda like stupa while the interior consists of four stories containing images of the dieties of mandalas of Vajarakilaya.

The stunning view of Voidokilia Beach at Costa Navarino, Greece.
I am not going to lie, this is one of the most spectacular places I have witnessed.
This horseshoe Bay not only provides epic views it also has a stunning beach.
It is located just 5 km from Costa Navarino and is well worth the trip.
We had never been to this area of Greece before but believe me we will be back!
Late evening light catches the 108 Stupas that adorn Dochala Pass in Bhutan.
When we first passed here on our way to trek it was completely socked in and we could see nothing. Luckily, upon our return, the weather cooperated and we got these amazing views.
This is such an amazing place that is accentuated with 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" that have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother.
A place not to miss in Bhutan.

Early morning mist makes its way through the valley in the Himalayas of Bhutan.
As we woke up to our second morning of trekking in Bhutan we were greeted with such an amazing sight. Surrounded by Himalayan peaks!
There is nothing quite like breathing in the crisp morning mountain air while taking in one of he most beautiful sights on the planet:

The Big Buddha of Thimphu, Bhutan.
One thing i really wanted to see in Thimphu was the Big Buddha.
Standing 169ft (52 metres) tall it can be see throughout the whole valley.
When looking for a great vantage point we climbed up behind the statue so I could show how it towers over the city and surrounding Himalayan mountains.
If you look closely you can see thousands of worshippers who were there for the teachings of their spiritual leader.
Such an amazing sight.

A moment of Zen in the mountains of Bhutan.
After a 2 day hike into the Himalayas we found ourselves at the Royal Highlander festival. As we crested the final climb at about 4000m I saw a horse that seemed to be posing against this stunning background.
After snapping a few shots I moved on and didn't even realize the special moment I had captured until I looked at my camera days later.
That is one thing about Bhutan; special moments are all around you even if you don't realize it.

Exploring the beautiful Wat Phan Tao in the old city of Chiang Mai.
This city is filled with Wats. You could spend days, and we did, wondering the magnificent grounds of each complex. Just one of the things that we loved doing while exploring this amazing city
The magical coastline in Positano, Italy.
This was our first view of this amazing coastline as we drove from Sorrento to Positano and it seemed like a dream.
Twisting roads and views like this made me want to come back to this part of Italy again.
Taking in the view of the Kyrgyzstan Mountains
One of the most challenging things we did in Kyrgyzstan was a 3-day horse trek. What made it so challenging was the terrain. We were climbing up steep passes and descending into low valleys, all on horseback.
As you know, we recently switched to @transitionslenses to protect our eyes and I was really impressed with the way they performed in the changing lighting conditions.
You don't want to be swapping glasses when you are dropping into a valley on horseback. Trust me on that one :) ------ #livethegoodlight#ad

The magnificent Mount Assiniboine in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta.
To get the most appreciation of the beauty that the Rocky Mountains hold you have to see it from a helicopter.
We took an early morning flight and let me tell you it was jaw dropping.
Seeing those mountains dusted in a layer of snow just made me appreciate Alberta even more.
I can't wait to return!
The Fall Colours of Canada in full bloom!
It is that time again here in Canada where we are blessed with some of the best fall colours around.
This is by far one of my favourite times of the year. The air is a little crisp, the smell of fall in the air and beautiful scenes like this.
We are back in Ontario for Thanksgiving and spending our time with family. We are especially proud of our niece Carley who has just become the ambassador of her college and started a new Instagram account. So go over and give her a follow at @ambassadorcarlay
The majestic Wolf Dog stands tall in Alberta.
One of the best experiences we had in Alberta was visiting the @yamnuskawdsanct. We got to interact with these amazing animals in a beautiful setting.
These dogs are all rescues and this is definitely something you have to do when you are in Alberta.
Storm clouds roll in over the Tombstone Mountains in the Yukon, Canada.
One of my favourite shots from our trip up the Dempster highway was this one.
The clouds were moving fast as a storm was rolling in. I managed to get set up quickly and snap this long exposure shot!

Morning light in Donegal, Ireland.
Their area is famous for the landscapes featured on both The Game of Thrones and Vikings.
You can see why. It is just stunning.
Had to get up early in the morning for this one but it was worth it!
Dreaming of the Lantern Festival in Thailand.
We will be heading back to Thailand in October and it made me think about one of the most amazing things we have seen there....The Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai.
Hundreds of thousands of lanterns are launched into the air in celebration and it is something not to miss.
A word of warning though...it is crazy busy! If you are a bit claustrophobic I would give this one a miss
Shining a light on the beautiful landscape of Tuscany, Italy.
The sun pokes through the clouds at just the right time as we were driving around the countryside.
I was looking for a scene like this throughout our time in Tuscany and actually got really lucky with the light.
The landscape here is just stunning.
Sunset over Loch Ness in Scotland.
One of the best sunsets we have seen in Scotland was just outside Inverness.
The sky just lit up like it was on fire.
I think if you look hard enough you might even see Nessie in this one .
Following the river into the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
I love this perspective. It really captures the wildness and beauty of this landscape.
It is one thing to be walking and be surrounded by this but it takes on a whole new meaning when you can see it from above.
