I urge you to read a brilliant article by Dominique Temple @ddtemple for The Telegraph @telegraph online: “How water-free beauty products will enhance your skincare regime”. Very grateful to see Vanderohe No.1 Nourishing Face Serum included as one of the “best water-less products”. Here’s an excerpt highlighting why you might want to consider ditching your usual skincare products if they’re largely made up of water:– “Have you ever looked at the label on the back of your skincare bottle? Take a look at the ingredient list on any of your products and you will see the majority of them list water as the first ingredient. Water makes up about 70 per cent of your usual lotions and creams, leaving very little room for the active, working ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, clay and other hero oils... One theory behind water-less products is to create more potent solutions that aren't filled and diluted with a mass of water, which is inactive. And did you know water dries the skin more than it nourishes? "Many of the preservatives present in your beauty products are there because water encourages bacteria growth," says Alexia Inge @alexia.inge , co-founder of the beauty etailer Cult Beauty @cultbeauty . "No water means no bacteria, which means no preservatives which equals better skincare." The renowned American dermatologist Dr Lancer agrees. "A water-free formulation allows for improved stabilisation, with no need for added emulsifiers or other additives."”// #vanderohe#activeskincare#no1serum
Keep thinking of these church windows in #Amsterdam... Running beneath them was Weiwei’s Red Line. The water colours light show was based on the “existential” and what unites people. Utterly captivating and somehow feels so relevant right now.
The last Friday of 2017 so what better time to flash back to some of the amazing press Vanderohe has had this year, since launching in Feb. These are just a few of the publications we were lucky enough to be featured in – there were lots of brilliant blogs and e-magazines which I haven’t included simply because my cropping skills aren’t the best (!), but I am SO grateful for all the amazing coverage we’ve been given... it has been an exhausting but wonderful labour of love: emotionally and physically draining but SO VERY REWARDING. The features, the awards, the thank you notes from happy customers...I am so honoured, grateful, overwhelmed by the reaction to No.1 Nourishing Face Serum this year. THANK YOU to everyone who has been a part of this journey so far, but most of all to my wonderful friend @mcarroyave who has tirelessly spread the love for Vanderohe Looking forward to sharing some very exciting new products with you in 2018 // #vanderohe#no1serum
